I’ve really enjoyed reading some celebrity essay collections recently, and so I’m getting a lot of recommendations for them. Before reading this, I didn’t know anything about Mindy Kaling. I think this is probably going to be the last celebrity memoir-type book that I read for a while, and it will probably be the only one I read of someone I don’t actually know who they are before I read the book. Whilst I enjoyed this collection of essays and found them to be funny, I really wanted more from this book. It felt as though it skimmed the surface of many important topics, and could have done with more substance.
