Hi! So my friend's birthday is coming up and I wanted to gift her a book. She LOVES young adult romance and I wish to give her something which promotes progressive and open-minded thinking. Something which is not a cliché/breaks common stereotypes/promotes positive body image and acceptance of other peoples' lifestyle/discourages girl-on-girl-hate/passes the Bechdel test (I'm a feminist). If you know of a book that is in accordance with any of the above criteria, please suggest. Thank you! :)

Hey im looking for shifter books, my favorites are Kate Daniels and Mercy Thompson. I would also like to find urban fantasy books with litte to no vampires :)
