Hi Wendy, I am the group owner, and it went silent because I went back to school to get my Ph.D. at UBC Faculty of Forestry and didn't make time for it (clearly, as you wrote your question years ago). I'm in my final year now and reviving this group. :)

More Trees Please is a small, cozy book club for people who love trees, forests, and the more-than-human world. We read fiction and nonfiction that deepens our relationship with nature, and we welcome lurkers, slow readers, and people who are just tree-curious.
Where did the name come from?
It popped into my head one day, and I kept finding it used in hashtags across social media, which told me others felt the same way.
Is this club just for people who like trees?
Yes, but if you want to learn to like trees, it's also for you.
How often do you read?
We read roughly one book every two months. You can join mid-read, skip a book, or just follow along at your own pace. There's no pressure.
Where can I find the books?
The current read is on the group home page. Past reads are on the group bookshelf. Most books are available through your local library, including Libby/OverDrive.
Who picks the books?
I suggest books and welcome nominations from members in the Suggested Reads thread. Eventually I'd love to open it to member votes.
Can I suggest a book?
Yes! Post in the Suggested Reads thread anytime.
Can anyone start a new discussion topic?
Yes, as long as you're a member and the topic relates to books, trees, forests, or nature. Jump in.
