Are you reading or planning to read One Word Kill by Mark Lawrence, our SF Book of the Month?

Please, NO spoilers!

This will be next after our other BotM.

Ryan Dash (ryandash) | 171 comments Done, it's a really quick read.

Mark (vintage77) | 3 comments As someone who always fancies playing d&d games I really enjoy the chatter around the games in the first 3/4 chapters.

That’s as far as I’ve got so far. Just waiting on the reveal.

Gabi I hope this month I make it. I'm so behind on the BotMs here ^^'. I own it, so I will get to it.

Rob | 16 comments I’m enjoying it so far. My only previous Mark Lawrence book was Prince of Thorns which I gave 3 stars and all I can remember was based on the reviews I expected to like it more. So this is a pleasant surprise. Very quick read, already 25% through after some spare time this afternoon and the plot is keeping me interested. Have some ideas of where it’s going but will see how much I get correct.

For anyone with Kindle Unlimited it is free.

Paul Perry (pezski) | 228 comments I'm enjoying this, although not as much as I did Lawrence's Book of the Ancestor trilogy, starting with Red Sister. Perhaps a little too YA for my taste. Quick going and interesting, though.

Lawrence is an American long resident in the UK and he's captured the 80s English setting and voices spot on.

Lindsey | 415 comments Just put One Word Kill on order yesterday and it should be here tomorrow! This will be my first book by him but he comes highly recommended by one of my favorite authors, so I'm excited to try it.

Ryan Dash (ryandash) | 171 comments Which author recommended him?

I don't generally find author recommendations to suit my tastes, or at least they're no better than what I find on my own from recommendations by other sources, winnowed by reading book blurbs.

Robin Hobb: her review. She's actually reviewed all 3. Author reviews are a little hit or miss for me, too, but Hobb has been more hit than miss for what I've enjoyed.
