So I finished the first 5 chapters. I like that Adam and Finn are already friends, friends-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes :D

I really like how Adam is handling the breakup. No drama, just calmly making a list of things to do. Also, I really like that getting checked by a doctor was at the top of the list. Is it me, or is something that mundane not very usual for romance novels? :D

I wonder how they move to their fling on the upcoming vacation. What do you think, slow-burn with intense staring at other guys who dare approach what's theirs with a final "you're mine" snap, or…. :D

We timed this perfectly btw, the temperatures climbed to 28°C today, and in the sun it's over 30°C. Perfect time to read a summer book. Now all I'm missing is a pool….

Just finished Chapter 5! I am a huge fan of friends to Lovers as well, I like that Adam and Finn already had an attraction between each other in the past too but circumstances just never worked out for them.

Oh and I adore Adam already, I loved him calling out his ex on upgrading for a younger model and getting the hell out of there.

I agree don't see much of going to clinic and getting checked for stds in books, I loved that was one of his priorities because I feel its such a real thing and definitely important after finding out his ex was cheating.

Im looking forward to the holiday so much! I'm expecting it to be a lot of fun, definitely thinking some jealousy/possessive going on as it's a Gay resort. I'm calling it too 😂

Agreed! I was laying in the sun reading earlier today and damn it was so hot, it got too much after a while. We are expecting weather to drop and rain coming now though...

Lucky you! We have to wait another two days at least for the first rain in about a month…

Oh really?! That's crazy, I always forget how different weather can be. Here in England it's always a mess, although it was the hottest May on record so been expecting a drop and rain.

Same here. We have warnings for forest fires in place because everything is just bone dry. I miss actual seasons. We didn't even have snow this winter!

Oh wow! Hopefully that rain comes quick and helps prevent those then. Yeah seasons haven't been very accurate last few years I feel, very unpredictable 😂 I don't think we really had any snow this winter either. The year before we had it in March.

Yep. I was looking forward to a good thunderstorm to clear all the humid air out, but apparently that has now moved on to somewhere else. Not fair! :D

Anyways, I have an early day tomorrow, so no more reading for me today. But I'm really curious about the boys' vacation…

Oh I had busy day today went for trip to visit nan and had picnic in garden as almost her birthday, was really ncie to see her after been months and spend time with family.

OK I just finished ch17... And wow this book went completely different to what I was expecting but damn I enjoyed it! Niall was a fun addition to the mix and I liked how observant he was, how he called Finn out at the end on them being more of a couple vibe was awesome.

We got it spot on with the possessive and his mine thoughts, although I really like that Finn is still trying to just support Adam as a friend getting over his relationship and kind of pushed him towards Niall. I mean it's foolish and I find it annoying when like self destructive these two, yet you can definitely tell they have amazing chemistry and a long term great friendship.

I do with explored more about them though and feelings for each other how developed, as while can definitely tell their attraction I don't feel the romance as much. Still it's a fun, summer read so far and I would love a cocktail right about now. Just sunbathe by a pool would be so good 😂

This is definitely a perfect summer beach, fun and easy read. I sped through those chapters so quickly.. Its easily done.

OK I got a bit carried away, I was only going to go to Ch 20 but I've no finished ch26 😂

Agreed, it's fun and they have chemistry but... Adam's JUST coming out of a relationship. I mean.. Oh well. We'll see what happens :D

I do agree there, but I've been suspending my disbelief in that area especially as it seems like his previous relationship had been dead for a while. I kind of like these for the amount of comfort, heat, soft feels and easy reading.

True. It is a very easy read. That's why he's one of my go-to authors if I need something cozy

That's true, I think his becoming one of my go-to authors for cozy reads too, I don't even usually read shorts but I am because Why Love Matters fits a challenge of mine and I couldn't resist when saw by him. Also the covers pretty 😊 When it mentioned was previously a merlin fanfic that was a bonus.

Lol, I didn't know about the fanfic part. I read that one a while ago, and while the idea was pretty weird (I mean… You know), I ended up really liking it

It mentioned at start before chapter, that originally published under another name as merlin fanfic. I usually don't check those, but I sometimes enjoy reading authors notes 😊

I could tell straight away after that and was very fitting, especially since I don't read shorts often.

I'm all caught up now. I love how uncomplicated they are. I still think the I love you was a bit fast, but they have been friends forever, so. It did feel pretty natural for them.

Yeah I think the I love you was a bit too fast at least from Adam since he has just left a long term relationship, although I did like how he explained it in a way. Seemed fitting as they've known each other forever and be a lovely start to a relationship, Finn I think has had feeling for Adam forever by sounds of things so I could handle his side easier.

Going to read the last few chapters now, heres to a HEA 😊

Aww. So this was cute. What do you think, final grade-wise? I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars… I think I'll round up, because it was pretty fun :)

I am with you! I'd be all over a book about Niall he seems like a lot of fun and I adored him, how he brought these two together.

The ending was super sweet and fitting, I also loved the kayaking trip that was cute.

Im leaning towards 3 stars from a 3.5, just because I wish there had been more talk of their friendship over the years instead of just a lot implied. Also would have loved a look at them in the future, although the ending is pretty perfect look towards their relationship and ending of a chapter into a new better future 😊
