Apparently my brain likes doing "this reminds me of..." As I'm getting strong It vibes. Group of grown ups who saved the world as kids. The personalities, a bit. The whispering little voices, the doubt it's really over...

Yeah me too, and the needle just seems like a horcrux to me. But why dump it in a river where the dark one died and might rise again...isn’t that like passing Voldemort his horcrux back? I was getting vibes from Sloane that he did something particularly nasty to her, like adding a bit of his soul to her, hence the reason she can’t just get over it.

Ohh... the whole 'shadowy figure in black' - what if she goes back in time and IS the Dark One, and finding that out is what broke her?!

Ha! That would be cool, and I could see her chasing her shadow like Jed in Le Guin’s Earthsea.
