I am still asking (pleading actually) for people to read and review my fantasy novel, The Forest of Allund. The second book in the series, The Laughing Gods is currently being reformatted so it can use Kindle X-ray on the Greek words in the text. The Forest of Allund has already been reformatted like this to allow for easier reading. Both books are suitable for readers 14+

All books are set in a world similar to ancient Greece. The books contain elements of magic, history, mythological creatures, Gods and Goddesses, and Greek culture. They also contain, political intrigue, betrayal, barbarian invasion, wanton death and destruction, and intense warfare just to keep things interesting. The story revolved around our hero Alexio Sopholus as is thrust into this conflict unwillingly, and unprepared to deal with it. How he adapts to his new world is the backbone of the story. It is a story of someone finding out the hard way that all the knowledge of philosophy, ethics, morality, behavior, and customs taught to him do you no good when someone has you at sword's point. Then you must fight, run, or die. Alexio fights and that fight will be without mercy or pity and go against the laws of both Gods and men.

Also there is my blog on life in the ancient world.

I can send you these books in an unformulated version via email either epub or mobi.

Thanks for listening,

Wilbur,

Don't allow the lack of reviews for your work frustrate you so. Most avid readers, for whatever reason, choose to never post a rating or review. According to your Goodreads profile, you happen to be one of them - no ratings or reviews. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Those that do post are merely expressing their personal, and therefore subjective, opinion. One reader's Best book ever! may very well be another reader's Worst book ever!.

Contrary to what some believe, sales drive reviews, not the other way around. Focus upon striving to continuously improve upon your basic writing, narration, promotion, and marketing knowledge and skills and the reviews will come.

The odds against a novice author ever achieving commercial success within this extremely competitive field are very high. That said; some have. There is no reason why you might not eventually become one of them. I wish you success.
