I did it. Wasn't sure I could. I'm trying to follow along with your schedule. Read first 3 chapters. So far I'm liking the story. Hope I can stay interested. I've been on a reading slump can't focus. Am I the only one reading this?

So far I really like the book :)

Hey all! Just finished the first three chapters! The story started a bit generic but I'm still enjoying it and the characters have surprised me a bit! Excited to continue :)

I like Travis because he isn't what you expect and he's honest at the same time.

I'm finding Abby slightly on the annoying side but I'm don't dislike her. We shall see how it goes

I just read the first 3 chapters I so far am interested in the characters. I find Travis especially interesting. I can't wait to see what happens. I agree with Shannon - Abby is definitely somewhat annoying but I don't dislike her.

I've been in a slump too! Ahh, the assigned chapters is just a suggestion but it helps make the reading more managable to me - I also read other stuff too :)

I've been in a slump myself. I just can't find anything refreshing I think because I mostly only read YA. Maybe this adult book is what will kick me out of my slump. As much as I love YA it seemed mostly like all the stories where getting to be the same. So maybe I need to graduate into adult fiction for a while. Is this book considered New Adult?

Hmm, I definitely have been feeling the same way - hopefully we'll kick the slump with our readalong! :)

Beautiful Disaster is NA, I believe

I'm starting a little late but I managed to get through the first few chapters. I honestly wasn't sure if I would be able to get through the first few pages of this book but I'm glad I pushed through.

I have to say this book would be so much better without all of the girl hate. If the girls who sleep with Travis are so terrible, what does that say about Travis? And while I understand that he's still being developed as a character, I really want to punch the guy sometimes. He keeps surprising me with his sweet moments which is a nice change. More sweet Travis, less rude, creepy guy please. Abby's fine until she gets all judge-y about the other girls in this book. I can't wait to read more about her past.

Time to zoom through the next few chapters so I can see how the rest of this plays out!

You make some REALLY good points about the girl hate. It's a mutual exchange and she isn't really judging Travis. I'm hoping that aspect of the story sort of fades away as the relationship develops more!

I didn't even think about the girl hate. She is judgemental.. I personally like Travis and the fact that he is honest and flawed.

I like that he is honest. He may not be what she wishes he was, but he isn't leading anyone on so she can't really be all that mad.

I personally don't like men who are womanizers (use girls as one night stands). I'm also not a fan of alcohol either but all in all I'm enjoying the story. There is mention that Abby had a past wonder if they will go over what that is. I'm in the middle of chapter 5 now.

Yes, very interested in Abby's past!!

I personally don't like men like that either but I do like the fact that he isn't perfect. I have a feeling Abby will change him in the long run.
