Jessica | 62 comments Hello. I am looking for a book, I think it's an adult fiction novel, that I read in around 2010-2015. It starts with three or four teenagers- they are all living in different states, yet are connecting by this one movie: an adaptation of this comic book, that they all watch on opening night.

I don't remember many specifics about the characters, but one was a boy that wanted, more than anything to get out of his small town, one girl who'd loved these comic books she'd started reading when she was babysitting for this rich couple and found the books in their bathroom.

It was a long-spanning book that followed these teenager's lives into adulthood- and how their lives connected, like, for example, one of the original characters married the brother of another character, and the would meet each throughout their lives. I also remember that another of the characters dated the leading actor of the movie front the first part of the book.

I thought it must had been set around the nineties, spanning into the early 2000s, because 9/11 and other big historical events were big plot points in the novel. I remember one brother of a character died because he was on the plane, the one that was dating other one of the characters.

thank you in advance!
