For instance, I think Hermione is more of a jerk than Draco ever was...

Megan (neonfire777) Severus Snape is TOTALLY overrated! He died a hero's death, clearly, but even that action was done by selfish motives. All throughout the series, Snape is a completely horrible person to Harry, Ron and Hermione. He hated Harry, and did not deserve Lily. So I honestly don't understand how people can actually like Snape!

I think that's interesting that you think Hermione is more of a jerk than Draco... can you evaluate?

Obesehomingpigeon | 12 comments I could go on about this for hours but the gist is: Draco doesn't really think he's being a jerk because he thinks he's in the right (I've been a Draco, I know this), Hermione knows she's putting others down by being an "insufferable know it all" and she loves it (I've have also been a Hermione).

While Draco grows out of it and realizes what he's been taught is wrong, Hermione continues to act superior to others around her for the rest of her life (as seen in Cursed Child).

If you ever meet a Draco or Hermione irl, you'll get it.

g.vee (gvesthetic) Okay, but a just asking- do you think cursed child is canon?

Tha Zm | 2 comments Draco Malfoy was a very rude person in the books!

Draco stans on tiktok always get on my nerves by saying "he was a good person, but his dad abused him and made him a death eater!"

like pleaseee!!! are u kidding me?

message 7: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (chetmanly) Dumbledore, he treated Harry like an adult when he was a child (and a fairly immature on TBH). He was always playing mind games and thought he knew best when he often didn't. Drove me crazy once I re-read the series as an adult. He also totally played favourites with the students which as a teaching figure, is just plain wrong, lol

THISSSSSS. Draco was still a jerk, and he was rude, pretentious, and basically evil. Also, my unpopular opinion is that Tom Felton is not hot (oh my god don't kill me guys)

message 9: by Icarus (new)

Icarus | 2 comments I really love Draco and Snape! I guess it's not really unpopular anymore. Draco was a bit stuck up but in the end, I think he was misunderstood by his family and the rest of the world. I don't think he ever intended on becoming a Death Eater and it obviously stained his family tree as shown in "The Cursed Child". Snape was the good guy all along. Although he was mean to Harry and James he obviously had things for Lily and that love took him a long way.

I completely agree with you. I think Dumbledore in all honesty caused Harry a lot of pain throughout the series.

Well....Draco had a choice. Everyone had a choice. He could have left his family and joined the bright side. In Half Blood Prince, he himself said how happy he was to be a Death Eater. But yeah, Draco did improve after the war. \
As for Snape, he was a grey character. He was bad, but good at the same time. Snape was obsessed with Lily and only Lily. Even after her death. This proves his loyalty. But he also bullied Harry and his friends, in a really bad way just because either he was the son of James or he reminded him of Lily.

The cursed child had so much potential, but was such a bad book, despite JK rowling helping to write it. Firstly, the plot was just AWFUL, and secondly, why not write it as a proper book? I decied to come up with my own version of the story. Basically, in my version, Albus is sorted into Gryffindor, Rose is in Ravenclaw, Scorpius is in Slytherin, and Hugo is in hufflepuff. Albus starts to notice some tiny cracks in the walls of Hogwarts. He doesnt think much of them at the time, and goes on with his life. But then, the walls of Hogwarts get loads more cracks as every day comes and goes, and Albus tells his three best friends, (Hugo, Rose and Scorpius) about his suspicions - Hogwarts is falling apart due to the lack of friendships and the seperation between the houses, for example, the hatred between Gryffindor ansd Slytherin students. The four friends then find a secret fountain underneath the grounds of Hogwarts. It has a peculiar grey and white pattern on the fountain. They then start to find mysterious little notes in their beds with the same pattern saying 'friendship is the key to a lost cause'. They interpret the 'lost cause' as Hogwarts, everyone is panicking within the school as the cracks are now very severe and there is so many of them, even the proffesors are struggling to fix them, they're endless. Albus and his friends go down to the fountain and look extremely closely, they see that it says in gold inscripted letters: ' Four friends, one from each Hogwarts house, must get together, and the walls of Hogwarts will repair themselves once more'. The four friends discuss what this might mean, hovering over different interpretations. They then agree on the fact that the message is saying all the houses need to have unity and unite themselves for Hogwarts to be fixed. The four friends then go and inspire and tell people from each of their houses how important it is to be friends with other houses. All houses start to talk to each other more, especially Slytherins, and soon everyone in Hogwarts is friends with people from the other three houses. The slytherins learn that being pure - blood isnt everything. Albus, Scorpius, Rose, and Hugo then go down to the fountain again to find that it has gone - dissapered. The cracks of Hogwarts finally start to vanish. The professors understand that if things go back to the way they were (the tension and hatred between the houses), then the situation will be very bad once again, so they take away the sorting hat and the idea of Hogwarts houses, and everything goes well!

Thanks for reading! Sorry this was so long! It took SO long to write to it would be amazing if you could post your ideas on my story in the comments! Thanks!

Darcy( Taylors Version) | 11 comments Hi, I am sorry about the comment I posted this morning, I meant it to be sarcastic. I am really, really sorry if I confused people. Please don't come after me I am only a child! I am still in middle school! when I wrote the comment that said" Oh wow, that is so funny!" I meant it in a sarcastic way. I have learned my lesson! Fabulous Unicorn Sirius was a jerk. Regulus was the better brother

Webs Percy wasn't all bad. I'm sorry, don't hurt me. If you have differing opinions, we can discuss

message 19: by Olivia (new)

Olivia | 32 comments Harry is a horribly written and self-conceited main character who gets mad too easily (even with his best friends). Speaking of those "best friends" they are also really stereotypical. Ron, being the youngest boy, gets hand-me-downs, always expecting more. And Hermione, a bookish, kind of boring character, with no clear flaw except her looks (despite her parents being dentists she still has buck teeth?!?!?!)

Daisy Hope | 16 comments I’m not super into Dumbledoor. I feel like he put a lot of unnecessary pressure on him without telling him the truth or the full story. I think Dumbledoor could have been defeated much quicker if Harry knew what he knows now.

message 22: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Horowitz | 5 comments Dumbledore is cruel. He let Harry endure all that when he could’ve easily done it himself. An 11 year old fighting a two-faced demon?? A 12 year old fighting a giant snake?? He simply made it happen when I honestly think he could’ve stopped Voldemort himself (or at least adult wizards instead of a literal child)
