YA Romance!!! discussion

Thanks to Amanda’s wonderful group, I found out that June 12th was Anne Frank’s birthday! For those of you who don’t know who that is (I’m going off of my knowledge here), Anne Frank was a Jewish teenage girl that was alive during World War Two. She hid from the Nazis in a building with her family members and a few other people as well. Unfortunately, her and her family and the other people living with her were found and brought to several concentration camps. She later died at one of the horrible camps. Her father was the only survivor from their family from the concentration camps. A few years ago, in Girl Scouts I learned that Anne Frank was a very important woman in history. I used to have an “obsession” over her. (Don’t ask...) Anyways... I read all about her in the Diary of a Young a Girl though I did not finish that book, but I plan to, I read about Hitler and World War Two, I read Who Was Anne Frank, and watched a three hour long movie about Anne Frank. I don’t exactly know why she is so important, but I honor her. She was around 14 or 15 when she died in 1945 and she would’ve been 91 years old this year on June 12th. That’s a young age to die! To honor her importance, I’m going to be either reading an entry from her diary which was, by the way translated into many different languages and/or reading a book about her on her birthday. I really enjoyed learning about Anne Frank and her importance to this world and I hope I can educate myself more this year!😊

I loved reading her diary, it feels like having a friend I never had! I feel so sad for her 😔. It's so unfair.

Her diary is still my favourite non fiction book of all time. It’s so sad and I hate how she sort of fell in love and then was taken away by the Nazis😔
She sounded like someone I would be good friends with too
