4 books so far. Cranford and 13 Reasons Why, which I also crossed off my dusty book challenge. I've also read January's book choice Jerusalem, though didn't quite finish it as this one wasn't for me. My best read has been Do No Harm: Stories of Life, Death and Brain Surgery which I thoroughly recommend.
Gotten 3 books down atm - and 2 of them was already on my TBR-list, so it was nice^^I got Life of Pi down for the filmed book + Fever Dream for the library - as I already had it packed for the vacation. For the last one, animal onfront i got
(a fly is some kind of animal, right, right?) - one I found cheap at the airport (+ all the money from it goes to children with heart diseases = winwin!trying to put in books on my tbr/other challenges, so I can read more and complete more lists^^
That's what I have been doing Trine my tbr list is pretty big so it has been easy to find books that fit in.So far I have only finished one book, The Little Android it is a short book from the cinder series so fills the under 100 pages slot nicely.
I've read "The Picture of Dorian Grey" as the January Viper's Book Choice. Enjoyed this one, but the second half much more than the first.
Now half way through Susan Hill's "Howard's End is on the Landing" as my library choice.
Both these are also counting towards the Dusty Shelf challenge.
I am also a couple of chapters into Haruki Murakami's "1Q84" which is my book translated into my language. This one has started off brilliantly.

it's split into 3 if you wanted to read it in smaller chunks!
You should get a medal for completing War and Peace. How was it?
Have read A Buzz in the Meadow and Life Story: Many Lives, One Epic Journey so far. Currently reading The Bookshop Book, which is brilliant.
I'm spending too much time deciding what to put in my challenge, when I should be actually reading. I'm 1 book behind already according to the virtual librarian!Any suggestions for the graphic novel? Have to say this is also a genre I avoid but I don't want to cheat and count it for both. Will prob opt for a sci-fi as that's another one I never read.
Currently enjoying The Tenderness of Wolves as my book with an animal on the cover. Dipping in and out of the Omnivore's Dilemma as my book with a food theme. It's interesting reading but not exactly edge-of-my-seat stuff.
Oh, just found the full-deck-challenge lists page which will give me lots of ideas! Can I copy and paste the blank list from somewhere to save me typing it all out? More time for reading then ;)
I just copied it aswell, and started to fill it out.. I really liked the V for Vendetta for a starter novel - but I agree - reading what other people are doing, helps ALOT!
Thanks Paul. I've just copied and pasted someone else's list which was still blank! Presumably I just go back in to my list and edit it from time to time?Must go and read now…..
Jason wrote: "It's brilliant Charlotte, looking for an epic to read after I finish don Quixote."
Ulysses?
Ulysses?

Or Infinite Jest Jason?
How about Proust, Jason? I have the first book of Remembrance of Things Past... the whole thing is massive!
Got another free choice (think i'll use quite a bit more of those on these books with Pendergast) + The Witches for the childhood one^^ Not as good as I remember it;o
Jackie, you could try one of the books from The Sandman by Neil Gaiman for graphic novel if you can get it from the library. It is hugely acclaimed. I'd love to read it but alas the library have 'lost' their copies and the full set on Amazon is nearly £100... I think Paul has this on his tbr list too.
I have read most of the sandman, Lucifer and Constantine ones, the best series so far has been Lucifer, amazing plot.I have some proust on my tbr list. One day. haha
I absolutely adore Sandman. I was lucky enough to have a friend with the full collection who lent them to me.
Lucky you, Charlotte! Well I have a significant birthday coming up this month so maybe I can justify treating myself...
I really enjoyed Brave New World. I think I need to read it again
Charlotte wrote: "I really enjoyed Brave New World. I think I need to read it again"Have you read 1984?
I have just started Fahrenheit 451 which is another one you're Supposed to read alongside 1984 and brave new world.
That's on my list for this year! I've fit it into all my challenges - it's been on my kindle for ages
Cheers Paul, I was going to read that but decided on Fahrenheit 451 instead. A clockwork orange next then I think.
Have you read "The Unit" by Ninni Holmqvist?
Charlotte wrote: "Have you read "The Unit" by Ninni Holmqvist?"Nope, have now added it to my tbr list. cheers
3rd book finished, all diamonds so far. The Living Mountain wonderful book, one of the books I spotted Paul adding to his list.
The Martian was the first book I finished for this challenge. I LOVED it! It was very funny (could be used as a Joker but I used it as one of my Free Choices) and interesting too. A quick read for anyone looking for something different.
Woohoo I have got my graphic novel for the full deck challenge. The Discworld Graphic Novels: The Colour of Magic & The Light Fantastic
Really looking for to this.
I've also read my graphic novel book for this challenge - The Encyclopedia of Early Earth which I really enjoyed. I finished The Color Purple this week as well, so have now crossed that off the 'books made into a film' category.
6 down, 48 to go!
By the way, I love all the classic dystopian books mentioned above, 1984, A clockwork Orange, Fahrenheit 451, but my favourite was probably Brave New World. Has anyone here read We? I've heard very good things about it, but haven't tried it yet?
