How are you liking Sky in the Deep so far? Any initial thoughts? Things you like? Things you don't like?

₊˚ʚ˚✧ ゚Stella ₊ | 1 comments I just read the first chapter and I was pleasantly surprised, I liked how it captured your attention from the very first page! I’m reading five different books right now, but I think I have to add this to the pile! That was a twist that I wasn’t expecting, what was the relationship between Iri and Eelyn?! Also is anybody else pronouncing Eelyn’s name like Aelin?😂😂😂

Kalayla (ukelayla) | 1 comments Just finished the book and honestly... not sure how I feel about it, lol. I really loved how it was viking themed because I love historical fiction and I know next to nothing about vikings so it was interesting. Other than that, I found the book kind of boring even though there were like 15 fight scenes. I totally shipped Eelyn with her friend Myra, though. Seemed like Myra was jealous of Eelyn's love interest.

Rosa | 1 comments I finished it...overall I liked the book, the general plot, but I feel like the romance plot is missing something. I just thought that Eelyn and Friske dont interact that much throughout the book and then BAM suddenly they are in love. it felt kinda rushed in like the author remembered that there was supposed to be a romantic plot as well...am I the only one with that impression?

MapleTea | 1 comments I finished it and while I did enjoy it, it felt rushed. The romance felt like it came out of no where and I feel like everything tied together too neatly.

RocketteReads | 1 comments It felt a bit slow at first but I did enjoy the lite heart romance. The battle scene near the end I think could have been better.

Alyssa King (shiroyuki95) | 2 comments I know I'm a bit late to jump into this, but I just finished it and it was a lovely story! The setting felt very original to me because I haven't read a lot with the Nordic influence. Aside from that, it didn't blow me away, but it was a lovely story. I loved the action and the social commentary. It reminded me just a bit of Pocahontas. I will definitely be rereading it when I want a standalone that will suck me into it's world and leave me with a happy ending.
