I am reading My October and thoroughly enjoying it

I read it too (and I have the pleasure of knowing the author!) Great read and deserving of all the critical acclaim for this interesting story based on Quebec history. My only complaint is that the 2 main characters represent 2 main camps: the francophone and the anglophone.

That's a great point, Kathryn. I hadn't thought about that at all when I was reading it. I reviewed it (at www.quebecreads.com/october) and really enjoyed it.

Still a very good novel but I would've liked a bit of nuance!
