Northern Water Tribe

Tundra
Naia stalked out across the ice, dressed heavily in her blue furs and leather pants. She wore lined boots and several layers, but her hood was down. She wore no mittens. She took a breath and swept her arms, piling the snow in front of her. A step and another extension of the arm and she had an icy ribbon of water, suspended carefully.
Naia kept the water suspended, shifting her feet and gesturing with her hands to form different ice sculptures in front of her - like training dummies. Some of them were carved ice targets, some were people-shaped, and some formed obstacles and shapes to get around. Perfect training ground.
She shifted her feet into a new stance, drawing the water with her hands, and sent a whip of water to lash at several of the ice dummies. She stepped and unleashed another lash of water to blow back a trio of sculptures, then struck one of the targets with a sharpened icicle.
Naia dashed around one cluster of dummies, melting the ice beneath them and knocking them down. She flipped over one of the ice obstacles and struck a few more targets with icicles, then jumped onto a bridge-like structure of snow. She cemented her feet to it, wrapping the ice around her feet and ankles, and knocked over the remaining ice sculptures with a drawn wave of snow.
She jumped back down to the ice, melting all of the sculptures she had made. She would need a real partner to train with, but at least she was improving. She suspended a line of water droplets in front of her, then froze them together to form a beaded ice necklace, which clasped itself around her neck. Now she was armed in case she ever ended up somewhere without water. She turned and left back to the tribe.
Naia returned to the tundra, forming another training ground with long, graceful movements. Once she had everythinf set up, she started training again, using more flowing bending than the aggressive kind she had use earlier. She swept the smow out from under some dummies, building it up into awall that crashed down on abridge in one fluid gesture.
Ray walked to the Tundra. She didn't have much to do other than practice. She had already practiced near the stream and in the Oasis. This is the only place she hadn't been yet.
Naia heard someone behind her and turned, lifting a wave of snow in case she had to defend herself, but relaxed when she saw it was Ray. "Are you coming to take my offer?" she asked, smiling slightly.
" Yeah " she gave a small smile, one that was genuine and rare. " I don't have anything else to do anyways. So I thought why not take you up on that offer. " She shrugged. " Do you come here often ? " She asked
"Pretty much every day," Naia nodded, She swept her arms, destroying her training field and forming it back into flat tundra. She drew a circle of snow around her and Ray.
She grinned, " Are we supposed to not hurt each other or are there no restrictions except for the fact that we can't kill each other ? "
"Hmmm...no serious injuries," Naia said. "Bruises and cuts, but nothing bad."
Naia shifted into a fighting stance. "Ready."
Ray readied herself. She felt the water everywhere. She felt all the liquids around her. Even blood. She shook her head. No blood bending. Not this time.
Naia drew the snow out from under Ray to knock her off balance. The snow became water that she suspended, ready to attack or defend.
As soon as she realised what Naia was doing, she jumped and turned. She quickly formed orbs of water from the snow and threw them towards her.
Naia sent her suspension of water at the orbs, absorbing them into a wall which she broke and froze into icicles. She directed two at Ray.
She froze them in place just before they hit her and shattered them. Only one of them managed to reach her. It grazed her arm but she ignored it.
Naia sent another pair of icicles at her, aiming for either side.
Naia ducked, ignoring the one that grazed her cheek, and sent the last of them at Ray.
Naia drew up a whip of water, directing it to lash at Ray.

Naia drew the whip back, undoing part of the shield so that some of it fell.
She rebuilt the sheild each time it collapsed. Her eyes were closed in concentration. She had a plan but it might not work.
Naia's eyes narrowed. Her eyes are closed. She took advantage of this, making the water come from the front like it had for a while, but also drawing up the ice behind Ray so that the attack came from two directions.
The water vapour came together and formed a sheild just one or two inches away from her body, expanding outwards to push the spikes away.
Naia drew back the water, surging it around and toward Ray's back.
Naia shattered the spikes, letting them fall. She drew the water out of Ray's shield, collapsing the front part of it.
Naia rolled out of the way of the melting ice, forming the water into a wave that rushed at Ray.
Naia stepped back, sliding into another stance. She didn't let herself show how exhausted she was.
"Yeah, sure," Naia said, walking over. "You're really good."
"You haven't traveled?" Naia asked, curious. "I've always wanted to see the fire nation."
"You don't want to travel?" Naia thought it would be boring to stay here all the time.
"Would you like to?" Naia asked, wondering about the wistfulness in her voice.
"If you want to come," she hesitated. "We could go somewhere."

It's just.... tundra. Great for waterbending practice, though!
