Naomi Westfield has the perfect fiancé: Nicholas Rose holds doors open for her, remembers her restaurant orders, and comes from the kind of upstanding society family any bride would love to be a part of. They never fight. They're preparing for their lavish wedding that's three months away. And she is miserably and utterly sick of him.

Naomi wants out, but there's a catch: whoever ends the engagement will have to foot the nonrefundable wedding bill. When Naomi discovers that Nicholas, too, has been feigning contentment, the two of them go head-to-head in a battle of pranks, sabotage, and all-out emotional warfare.

But with the countdown looming to the wedding that may or may not come to pass, Naomi finds her resolve slipping. Because now that they have nothing to lose, they're finally being themselves--and having fun with the last person they expect: each other.

When your nemesis also happens to be your fiancé, happily ever after becomes a lot more complicated in this wickedly funny, lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy debut.

Chapter 6
(view spoiler)[Them fighting is the funniest thing. Naomi cutting off her hair to piss him off was kinda dumb. Her conversation with Nick's parents was really funny tho. I'm not entirely sure why Nick even asked her to marry him as he doesn't even seem interested in their relationship. Also, how doesn't she know how they met? She couldn't have just forgot everything that happened in the last year or so. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 9
(view spoiler)[Naomi is actually dumb. There was no point in her giving up her car in order to get to Nick. How does that even make sense? She needs to figure out that he actually likes her and isn't trying to get rid of her. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 17
(view spoiler)[They are both so cute together. It great how they now get along and are able to stand up to Nick's parents with the help of each other. I really hope it works out for them. (hide spoiler)]

I started this one today!

Chapter 7- (view spoiler)[ I'm enjoying the start of this, but I'm not really liking either of the characters right now. So that usually doesn't result in a great review for me in the romance genre. However, I enjoy it enough to keep being pulled in! HAHA! I also don't love the miscommunication trope with adults, and I can tell this is one giant miscommunication thing going on. Just talk to each other already!! But I loved that Nick sent her flowers and she thought he was trying to poison her! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10- (view spoiler)[ What is this? This really isn't doing much for me...it's so weird and mean, and childish...It must get really good at the end because this got great reviews, but I'm honestly not even sure what I'm reading right now. (hide spoiler)]

Yeah...me too! And you don't say! HA! I really do enjoy them as a couple, and telling of Deborah at Thanksgiving was quite nice, but honestly, it's just too late for me to love this book. It feels like two different people wrote this book. The beginning was just too mean and awful, but the ending is kinda cute... (hide spoiler)]

I still plan to read other books by the author because I liked the writing style quite a bit! I just didn't care for the plot line at the beginning. (hide spoiler)]

In fact, I'm not going to commit to any buddy reads in October too early and just see what's out there when I want to read a book. I feel like I really want to read a book one week, but then the next week I want to read something else. HA!

Finished- (view spoiler)[ I enjoyed the last bit of the book, but it just took too long for me to really care. I was really looking forward to this one too! But the beginning just set too mean of a tone for me. I was shocked that they were both trying to work this out with as many problems they seemed to have. I liked the message of making sure you continue to fall in love with each other even over time, but this one wasn't for me... (hide spoiler)]

I feel like their constant not communicating will get old fast, and I’m already a bit irritated by Naomi. Also, those love notes are literally the cringiest things I’ve ever read. They’re cute I guess, but no more, please! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I also kinda love Harold. Like, him grabbing the cake and standing up to his wife made me crack up. The authors acting like Nick and Naomi are the true victims here, but Harolds got his whole life restricted! How does he life without potatoes?

I was just thinking about it, and I do hope that Nicks mother gets a bit of development. Her excessive dieting, and her controlling of others dieting makes me wonder if she had an eating problem, or something similar. It’s just something weird, but I guess it can also be excused by her just being a terrible person (hide spoiler)]
