I just ordered this from Book of the Month Club this month. I’m happy you gave it a good review so I can continue to be excited to dive into it.

An arresting read and provocative novel. I will be thinking about this for a long time. I was most impressed by two things: the author’s ability to make present-day India (with its oppression, corruption and poverty) come to life in a way that wasn’t always bleak; the author’s other ability to nail the desolate milieu of 2020 (and mistrust of authorities) with accuracy. 4.5 stars/5
