I might go with Jaws or Final Girls.
Salvage the Bones was on the list. It is thrilling but not the typical murder mystery most people are including here. It is EXCELLENT, though!

I didn't know it was part of a series (#9!) until I had almost finished it! I had no trouble keeping up with the characters and their relationships.
I have We Were Liars n my TBR for a while.Description says suspense. Anyone read it can tell me if it counts?

It's been a few years since I've read it, but I remember it having some thriller aspects to it. It's more psychological with a mix of mystery and paranoia, but I think you can use it.
The Darwin Affair this is the current big library read. It start off June 1860 so I'm going to count it for this prompt I think.

The Guest List"
I don't know that I'd use Something in the Water. Most of the thrilling parts happen in the Fall, not the summer.
I read The Lying Game since the current timeline is in the summer. It was just okay, though, so don't really recommend.
Karol wrote: "Still Waters"I read this one and really enjoyed it. It made me want to read more of this series.
