Can you you explain a bit more about the different “It” factors? (This is just the 2nd contest in this Group since I joined it.) Like: are we supposed to count the # of times we happen to read the specified word of the week in our chosen books, and each time we see the number of the week, etc? And then we’d get a point for each of those times?
You only need to find one "It" for the book you read in order to get the bonus points. Finding it more than once doesn't change anything - you only get the bonus once per book finished during that week that work for the called "It".
If you finish a book that doesn't work for any of that week's called "It", you still get page points, just not the bonus/2x points.
Hope that helps. Happy to answer any other questions. :)

OK, suppose this 1st book I read is NOT in this week’s chosen genre, does the chosen “It” word count towards double points if I find the word at least once in that book? This seems a bit complicated to me because there is no way to know if a book I’m reading will happen to have the chosen word in it.
And how does the chosen # factor in? It can’t refer to a page number since EVERY book we read for this contest must be at least 100 Pgs., so of course there will be a page 18.
Sorry if this is all really simple. Perhaps I’m over-thinking all of it. 🤷♀️. Again, this is just my 2nd contest in this group. The last contest was set up in a totally different way. Have you all done this current style of contest before? Maybe there were more instructions given back then.
Thanks a million for your patience,

I'll try to explain it better...I'm on a tablet so hopefully I'll be able to do it well enough.
You only need your book to work for one of the called "it" categories. I'll use this week's categories in my examples.
Genre: if the book you read is young adult, it will work for the bonus.
Words: if the book you read has "fence" in the title, author's name, series' name, in the book's text, or a fence on the cover, it will work for the bonus. An easy way to search books is on books.google.com or amazon. If you want, i can always try to check in advance if a book has a certain word for you. :)
Number: if the book you read has the number "18" in the title/series/name, page count, publication date, or setting, it will work for the bonus. Examples: a book is published in 2018 - that works because it has "18", a book has 418 pages - that works because it has "18", a book is the 18th in its series-that works.

And the # part of “It” categories makes a lot more sense now. 👌🏼
Thanx again!
So happy to have helped. Thank you for the questions and if you have any other questions, just ask. :) Have a great evening and happy reading. :)
