Ok, so this is kinda a jumbled mess of ideas right now, so bear with us. We’ve seen a few other groups do “competitions” whether it be songs or art, but there’s no story ones!

Basically, we’ll decide on a prompt, then y’all can write a short story, reflecting it. We’ll limit the length to a certain amount of words, so we suggest you write in Google Docs [[or some other platform that has word count]] before posting here.

Most importantly, have fun! Let’s try to keep the stories clean [[y’all know what to and not to do]] and good for everyone! We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Okey dokey. So Meg found a good website to use for prompts, so they might be kinda random and/or weird.

Any ideas on the word count? We’re thinking that it might change from prompt to prompt, but let us know how many words you think is “normal”!

When should we start and how long should the writing last? A week?

How long would it take y’all to write... hm... let’s say... a 750 word story?

Haha! Ok, we’ll make a poll. Anyhoo...

What if we start tomorrow? Then we’ll take about a week or so to write [[depends on if y’all need extra time]] then present them!

We’ll also decide on a word count. 750-1000 seems good, but we’ll need to get your feedback.

Whelp, that’s all for now. Be back tomorrow for the announcement!

Hey! That's so exciting! I've actually seen four other groups do this (two I made), but I wish that more groups did it! I went searching for groups like this outside of the four I had but there were none!i so happy! I love short story competitions!

Well, I just hope this one will turn out good! The genre is Fantasy and Sci-Fi, so Meg and I will pick a prompt and let y’all know in about an hour! We’ll set up a rules/requirements list also, so you guys will know what is expected. We can’t wait to see what you guys write!

Phoenix (Books with Wings) Yay! I'm excited!
