I am planning to read The Dragonfly Effect by Gordon Korman. This is the last in The Hypnotists series (can also be read as stand alones) by the author. I enjoyed the first book, but did not like the second as much. I look forward to reading the concluding book.
Finished Crazy House - I liked it and I will probably read the next one just to see where the story goes, but it was not on a par with The Hunger Games, the book that I see it compared to.
Finished The Dragonfly Effect by Gordon Korman. A good ending to The Hypnotists series. Not as good as the first book, but better than the second in the series.
I read Sara Crewe: or, What happened at Miss Minchin's boarding school by Frances Hodgson Burnett which is very sweet. Apparently it is the shorter original version of the Little Princess.
I highly recommend I Rode a Horse of Milk White Jade by Diane Lee Wilson, a historical novel set in Mongolia.
I read The Selkie Pact by Judith Fullerton. It’s based on traditional folklore according to its description, & set in Northern Ireland. I found it very boring, but those who enjoy fantasy may enjoy it. There are 2 more books in the same series.
Heidi is a sweet book, I agree. I have read it a few times, the first time as a child. It was one of the few books I owned.
Finished The Fall of Crazy House - it was a fast read but just okay as a sequel. I have a feeling there is at least one more to come in this series.
