A while ago I heard rumors that Darkfever might become a movie. Has anyone heard any updated information about this?

I have not. I know on her website she said to keep figures crossed becuase she was meeting with execs about making it a movie but i have not checked on it since. but I am hoping it does become one
Really? I'm kinda secretly-not-secretly hoping it doesn't because I know that it won't look anything like it does in my head. Like the Sookie Stackhouse series, it's not bad but Eric and Bill don't look how I imagined them to.
If Karen is involved, I am sure she knows who she thought of for the characters. It would be interesting to see though. I think I would prefer maybe a mini- series versus a movie. mini series can have more details where as movies cut to reach a certain time
I agree with a mini series. That would be so much fun. You just can't fit 5 books into a 2 hour movie. And it's ridiculolus to have to wait a year between movies, if it would be made into several movies. Books to movies are usually dissapointing. Twilight was OK in my opinion, but the books will always be better. (To other Stephenie Meyer fans, The Host is being made into a movie, too.) But I just love this series so much. It'd be fun to see it brought to life.
I wouldn't mind if they made the books into 5 movies (like they did with twilight, splitting the books up each into a different movie) but also think a miniseries or cable drama (like TrueBlood) would work as well. Thing is, casting would be really important, like Ariana said, Bill and Eric so do not look liked what I pictured... that, and after the 1st season which was pretty good, and fairly true to the story line - they took way too many liberties with the second season, and I didn't like how it was written and where the second season went... the original story was much better and more intriguing.
So anyways... here's one of the guys that makes me think of Barrons....

I had also heard it was in the works for a movie...I'm not sure how they'd go about it, but I think that if they could condense Darkfever and Bloodfever together, I'd like it better. Darkfever was good, but it was alot of background that was needed, and not much action til later on in the book. Oh well, I do agree that if Karen has anything to say about it, the guys will be pretty close to how she imagined it!
I think/hope she may have some say. She definitely made clear that Eric Etebari is her number one choice .. and I couldn't agree more. He is definitely the Barrons I pictured in my head. If you have never seen this - the link to her interview with Eric is below;

OBTW - at the end of the interview -- please continue on to the Unsensored portion. Enjoy! :-)
