I LOVE that book so much. Even more so since I read it after I read The Princess Spy. Seeing the events from a different perspective but having everything still be new and exciting was amazing. And shows just how talented Melanie Dickerson is.

Do you like a lot of Deborah Grace White's books? Or is this one your favorite? Because i read the Wild Swans book and couldn't make it through all of it...

message 22: by Bookish (new)

Bookish I like a lot of hers, the retellings especially. My favorites are Kingdom of Dance and Kingdom of Beauty. Kingdom of Feathers can get a little slow at times, but I very rarely will quit a book. I may pause (for a month…or two…or three), but I didn’t with these.
I really enjoy her books because of how well she ties together the original tales and Disney movies. Or in her newer series, The Singer Tales, she completely ignores the movie and sticks to the original, like not having the little mermaid marry the prince, having Snow White nearly die from a poisoned comb and laces, etc.

Melanie Dickerson's is really good too. I saw that Florence Pugh was cast as the live action Rapunzel.

message 24: by Bookish (new)

Bookish They’re making a live action one?!?! Awesome!

I know right!!!
I was kinda hoping they would cast Dove Cameron as Rapunzel. But I have heard that Florence Pugh is a good actress.
