Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Me after realizing yesterday was the first day: Let's read for a couple of hours today

*falls asleep 10 minutes later*

Me today when the alarm clock blared to life for the uptenth time: Why on earth did I had to nap yesterday at 6 PM and then be awake after dinner reading till I finished the darn book at 2 AM?!

*grumbles*

message 35: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 3598 comments Yesterday was a miss for me as a reading day. I was too tired to read and only made it 5% into my book. I finally got some sleep last night, so hopefully I'll have some time today to read much more than that!

message 36: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4095 comments Same here, yesterday just didn't work. But today I finally got cracking!

I've finished up Dear Martin - still a really, really good book. I've now started The Weight of the Stars which I'm so far really enjoying and hope to finish up Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body soon.

message 37: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4095 comments I've just finished my third book - The Weight of the Stars. This was so sad in so many different ways and yet it was still hopeful and made me happy and I totally just spent an hour crying while reading this...

message 38: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Finished the Rules of Possession Series, was a bit disappointed... too many doubts and passive-aggressive arguments instead of communication. The ending felt a bit forced. It was entertaining, just not that great.

To make up for that, I picked another Jocelynn Drake & Rinda Elliott book. You know, since I was so obsessed with the last two series I read from them. And it is... weird so far. And confusing. I'm pretty sure it will improve... at least I hope so... I did love the previous two series I read from them.

message 39: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 13142 comments 416 pages and 42 hours of audio so far... How is everyone else doing?

message 40: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4095 comments I've cracked the 2000 pages, and it's 100% the wheel's fault!

I had three library loans due next week and none of them work for ANY of the letters we get next week... so I've just had a real fun 48 hours in which I somehow crammed in nearly 1000 pages while working a full day today. Not looking forward to how my brain feels tomorrow...

Megan ♡ (shelley101) I managed just iver 1500 pages this week which is less than I was aiming for. But I adopted 2 kittens this week and started a new job so...not too shabby I'd say. I don't work for another 7 hours today so hopefully I can squeeze in a few more pages in amogst looking after and playing with the kitties

message 48: by Sammy (last edited Jul 27, 2020 12:12AM) (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 13142 comments My total is: 1792 pages and 37 hours of audio over 7 books!

I'm pretty pleased with that, especially the amount of reading I got done yesterday.

(Using default page counts for audio books, I'm at roughly 2890 pages. nice!)

message 49: by Judy (new)

Judy | 4095 comments I'm coming in at 2,813 pages, a whole lot of that via audio. I finished 7 books and read a chunk of 3 others so I'm super pleased with that.

I didn't end up finishing two books yesterday but I think I'm finally over the hump in Red Sister! I really struggled with the first 130 pages but last night I felt like I was finally getting into it.
