I have no real urge to read this one so I am out for sure this month. Hope everyone who reads it enjoys!
I would like to read this one, but I have a lot of pretty hefty books to read this month so I don't think I should add anymore books to the list! Plus I don't actually own it and I've already used my Audible credit for this month.
I loved this book!! I read it a few years ago and will definitely get involved in the discussion.
I've also only read the first three. I have the fourth but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet. What were some of your favorite parts?
Ohh, I am so glad this book won! I think I will start reading it next week. I saw the movie when it came out, but I want to read the book too.
Ooooh. I saw the movie a little while ago and really enjoyed it! Haven't read the book though. Last year when I culled my tbr pile, this is one of the books I got rid of. I'm with Brittany on this one, the urge to read it isn't really there. But if the mood does strike me I'll probably grab it from the library. 🤷♀️
I have seen the movie so many times I cant even count. I own the movie and cant stop watching it. so obviously it is one of my all time favorite movies and books

I loved the entire trilogy haha. I actually have book 4 on my TBR for this month.
Britt, the movie is good. You should give it a watch. It has the girl who played Rue in Hunger Games in it.

I have read the first three books two years ago or so and I really liked them! But I don't really feel like picking up the fourth book since (view spoiler)
She was good in the movie. I think it's worth watching.
Yeah Renee that's why I haven't read it yet. I will read it though.

How similar is the movie to the book??

it's got a couple things missing in it but the concept of the powers is the same. they also still meet Clancy in the camp.

When Ruby woke up on her tenth birthday, something about her had changed. Something alarming enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call the police. Something that gets her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.” She might have survived the mysterious disease that’s killed most of America’s children, but she and the others have emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they cannot control.
Now sixteen, Ruby is one of the dangerous ones.
When the truth comes out, Ruby barely escapes Thurmond with her life. Now she’s on the run, desperate to find the one safe haven left for kids like her—East River. She joins a group of kids who escaped their own camp. Liam, their brave leader, is falling hard for Ruby. But no matter how much she aches for him, Ruby can’t risk getting close. Not after what happened to her parents.
When they arrive at East River, nothing is as it seems, least of all its mysterious leader. But there are other forces at work, people who will stop at nothing to use Ruby in their fight against the government. Ruby will be faced with a terrible choice, one that may mean giving up her only chance at a life worth living.
