Great choice! This is such a fun book, perfect summer reading ;). I have the audiobook read by Frances McDormand, and it’s wonderful (and also how I found out about Persephone books)
Thanks Karen. I started this one today; I'm not far in yet, but I must say, I do rather like the illustrations, they remind me of Henrietta's War: News from the Home Front 1939-1942.

I'm really enjoying this, it's light and fun but quite thoughtful too, and I also love the illustrations. I don't think it will take me long to finish it.
Same Pamela, I've not read it before, either. Really enjoying it. I've been needing light and entertaining books at this time. This one is perfect.
I have been reading Wool (Silo #1) which is rather intense and am using this as a tandem read to break it up! I am enjoying the humor of Miss Pettigrew arriving for a job interview and then...WHOOSH! A series of men attending to her would-be employer! LOL Hysterical!

This month we will be reading Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day by Winifred Watson book number 21. First published in 1938 and released in film in 2008 starring Frances McDormand.
