Lisa (lizaland) Discussion for Lock Every Door!!

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ what thoughts do you have on chapters 1 till 8?

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ I think Jules made a dumb decission moving into that apartment. I mean, she moved somewhere that looks creepy and the fact that she couldn't even let people know she was living there or inviting her friends looked a little suspicious to me

Lisa (lizaland) yeah that was definitely creepy

Lisa (lizaland) but what creeped me out the most was the dumbwaiter

Lisa (lizaland) and the fact that even Leslie didn't know what was down there
that was definitely a red alarm
then the rules were a little too much
and the way she was getting paid in cash should have been a warning too like Chloe mentioned to her
but I understand her financial conditions and why she took the job against all odds

Lisa (lizaland) I'm excited to see what happens next, I think the dumbwaiter will play an important role in this book

Lisa (lizaland) what do u think?

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ i can't believe she was getting paid 400 dollars per month for living in a fancy apartment

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ and yes, i think the same about the dumbwaiter. i also feel that doctor Nick and Jules are going to have some love between them

message 11: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) ooh yeah

message 12: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) Nick and Jules might have some affair

message 13: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) I read the next 8 chapters and Nick was definitely flirting with Jules

message 14: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) also I'm excited to know what exactly happened to Ingrid.
do u think she actually left by herself or something happened to her?

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ i haven't finished yet but i need to say that charlie is giving me a bad feeling. it might sound dumb but he's being way too nice with jules, as if he's trying to make her feel comfortable with him bc that would give him more opportunities to hurt her. idk if you understand what i'm trying to say

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ i think that Jane's disappereance is related to Bartholomew somehow. do you think the same?

message 17: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) okay Charlie didn't cross my mind, but now that you mention it, it makes sense. And when Ingrid disappeared, Charlie wasn't on his post either. It might be related in some way

message 18: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) yeah I also think that Jane's disappearance might be related to Bartholomew in some way too.

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ Lisa wrote: "okay Charlie didn't cross my mind, but now that you mention it, it makes sense. And when Ingrid disappeared, Charlie wasn't on his post either. It might be related in some way"

exactly

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ Lisa wrote: "also I'm excited to know what exactly happened to Ingrid.

i think she was kidnapped, bc even if she said she was scare of that place she really needed the money so i can't imagine just going away wihtout even telling jules

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ maybe the person same kidnapped jane and ingrid

message 22: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) yeah that's a possibility. because Jane and Ingrid's disappearance is definitely linked in some way. so they might be kidnapped by the same person

message 23: by *·˚elizabeth*·˚ (last edited Jul 03, 2020 08:07PM) (new) - rated it 2 stars

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ at this point i think jules should start minding her own business. i can't believe she even called 911

message 24: by *·˚elizabeth*·˚ (last edited Jul 03, 2020 08:17PM) (new) - rated it 2 stars

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ omg there was a fire and Nick instead of saving himself he went to look up for Jules. cUtE

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ do you feel a connection to Jules or any of the characters?

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ so her parents died in a fire, maybe that's connected with the fire that happened at Bartholomew

message 27: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) okay I don't know how much you have read but the story is taking an interesting turn

message 28: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) I don't think Charlie is guilty anymore

message 29: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) and at one point I had a little suspicion about Nick too but now I'm not so sure. he seems really good and all

message 30: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) although I'm not rooting for Jules and Nick to end up together

message 31: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) and no the fire in Bartholomew had nothing to do with Jules' parents. it was just a bad memory

message 32: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) but I don't wanna spoil you until you have read it, but someone who we totally didn't suspect because they seemed to weak might actually be the culprit and I'm here for it
the book is finally getting somewhere

message 33: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) let me know what you think...
also I really like Jules as a character, even though she's trying to answer questions she's not being stupid or anything so that's a good thing

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ i'm glad the book is getting somewhere, now i feel really interested about what is happening next

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ Lisa wrote: "let me know what you think...

I didn't care about Jules, but the last chapters have been really enjoyable and now I understand her better. And yes, i like her not being a stupid character or making stupid decissions

message 36: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) okay I finished the book!!
after the story took off, I got interested and then I just had to finish the rest of the 30% of the book.
and I have sooooo much to discuss

message 37: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) my hunch about Nick was so right but everyone else was kinda unexpected

message 38: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) alright I might spoil you so I won't talk anymore about it
lemme know when you finish and then we can discuss

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ I have read the 80% of the book, i'll try to finish and tomorrow we'll talk about it

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ ok so I knew Nick and Greta had something to do with this but knowing the others were involved was a little unexpected

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ "It’s just a group of dying rich people desperate to save their lives no matter the cost. And Nick is here to facilitate it."

the best way to summarize the book lmao

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ i just finished the book!!!

message 43: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) yes the others were definitely unexpected

message 44: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) and I actually didn't mind that Jane still remained a mystery

message 45: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) I had thought that maybe Jane had also somehow become a victim of Bartholomew but she hasn't and it was fine
what did u think about that??

message 46: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) although I would have liked the book to be a little more eerie you know
like give it a haunted feel but that never happened.
I had thought that the dumbwaiter would play some creepy role but that never happened.

message 47: by Lisa (new) - rated it 3 stars

Lisa (lizaland) but overall it was a good book.
I enjoyed it and if u have read my review u already know that.
I'm planning on reading Home Before Dark soon
I'll probably start this week itself

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ i didn't mind either about Jane and her mystery, but at the same time I would like to have a closure in that

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ yeah i thought the same about jane and being a victim of Bartholomew, but maybe the author could say another thing about her mystery and would be fine, i just needed a closure to feel that the book was completely finished

*·˚elizabeth*·˚ i had expectations on this being creepy but i didn't feel scared in any moment or at least interested on what was happening until i was missing to read tte last 30%
