I didn’t expect to, but I really enjoyed this book. Several people have been demanding that I read it for a while now, but I hadn’t gotten around to it. I didn’t really like Jude at the beginning, and I can’t really explain what made me feel that way. Even in the end, there was something I just didn’t understand about her even if I agreed with her decision regarding Oak.
Cardan, on the other hand, I hated outright. That changed quickly when Jude saw how his brother treated him. Also, when Jude found that paper with her name written all over it, I knew what his issue with her was. Both of those things helped me understand him better.
I really loved the coronation scene when everything goes wild. I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did, but I flew through the entire series rapidly.I haven't read anything by Holly Black since "Tithe" when I was a freshman in high school, so I really liked seeing Roiben and Kaye again too.

I haven't read Tithe...maybe I should check it out.

Holy Crap! It's been so long since I read Tithe that I didn't even link the two!
