I was thinking of the RITA awards for this month, but they seem to need a bit restructuring after the last controversy. Looking at Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky, winner of the 2016 Arthur C. Clarke award.

I'm going to try 2019 RITA Award winner Long Shot by Kennedy Ryan in honor of her being the first African American winner of the prize. CHALLENGE COMPLETE - loved this book!
