Hi Dawn! Interesting thought on his name..I really liked him and was also excited that he was Al's Brother!..it was so fun to find that out. I cannot wait for more.

Harry Houdini had a brother Theodore, who was also a (mediocre) magician who used the name Hardeen. Kim might have had some inspiration along those lines.

As to Hodin, he has such incredible potential as a foil for Al and Trent, and general nuisance to Rachel. With a bit of Mr. Mxyzptlk/Bat-Mite as he pops in and out at the most inopportune times.

My novel recently arrived along with my niece. I’ve not cracked the cover. I will. Just have to get her settled after her doctors appt and ball practice. 🖤
