Last night I finished:Songs of Willow Frost by Jamie Ford
It was set in pre- and post-Depression era Seattle.
Finished Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder which goes from Ancient Greece to modern(ish) times mixing fact and fiction as it goes.
Let's add P.K. Pinkerton and the Pistol-Packing Widows, and The Case of the Deadly Desperados. Both set in Nevada ca. 1862.
I do hope you guys don't mind that I use kids' books. I read a lot of children's fiction, both professionally and for pleasure, so....

Finished:The Master Butchers Singing Club by Louise Erdrich
Setting is the years between the Great War and WWII.
My first one for this category is Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. I read lots of historical fiction but sometimes it fits better into other categories. I read Gone with the Wind about every second year or so!

My third in this category is Obasan it is written from the perspective of a young Japanese-Canadian during the internment and resettlement of the 2nd world war. Takes place in Vancouver and in Alberta.
