Werewolves discussion

Please nominate a werewolf book to read for August and September 2020's group read that is referenced (in depth or one sentence, it does not matter) in Werewolves, the current group read. Nominations are open July 5-24.

I thought for sure a non-fiction book about werewolves would have to reference a lot of literature about werewolves, but as I read further into our month's book I discover I am mistaken. Nancy Garden's book discusses the history of werewolves without listing a single actual source. Unbelievable!

I am therefore throwing open nominations to any twentieth century werewolf book.

I nominate Darker Than You Think by Jack Williamson (1948).

Okay, since you recommend Darker Than You Think, I will leave it in as a nom, but the book I will be voting for (probably) is The Best Werewolf Short Stories 1800-1849: A Classic Werewolf Anthology by Andrew Barger. I doubt there are enough geeks of early werewolf history to vote this in as our group read, but I'll put it up there just to see. I like that the Kindle version is only $3.99.

Three stars isn't a low rating. It means I enjoyed it.

We have two nominations in for August-September's 20th century werewolf story group read and just six more days left before the voting starts. Is everyone thrilled with our two choices, or would someone like to submit another?
