Thanks for being our Featured Author this session; we are looking forward to a great discussion! We were wondering how you find inspiration for your characters. Do you ever base them off of people you know?

Hi Alexandar!

How do you select the titles for your books? Do they grow from your writing, or do you have the title in mind before you start to write?

What inspired you to write Beyond the Absurd? As an author, what is the most important aspect to beginning your journey as a writer? Any helpful tips to young writers that you could give?

message 7: by Laine (new)

Laine Cunningham (goodreadscomlainecunningham) I am stunned by your storylines. How do you ever find the ideas? What triggers your exploration of these ideas? I'm fascinated!!

Sarah | 1 comments Hello Alexandar,
I feel like as writers, we are constantly having to disconnect ourselves from society in order to accomplish the goal of writing. However, it's critical that we stay connected to draw the necessary material. Do you find this to be the case for you? How do you balance this?

message 9: by H.M. (new)

H.M. Ada (charley_ada) | 3 comments Hi Alexandar, I'm curious, why do you write about the absurd? How do you define the absurd, and what do you think it can teach us?

Erik Willén (erikmartinwilln) | 1 comments Hi Alexander - congratulation becoming an author - Do you think goodreads is a good source for authors when it comes to marketing and are there any downfalls with it?

message 14: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Jones (amandasjones) | 380 comments Hi Alexander, I have a question I often ask fellow writers: Do you have a specific writing process or do you plan your writing time? ie. do you fit your writing into the rest of your life or does your life revolve around your writing?

message 15: by Antara (new)

Antara Mann | 4 comments Hi Alexander,
I wonder how do you write your stories - in Bulgarian or in English and do you use an editor?
What are your role models as writers - i.e Stephen King or somebody else?
What are your publishing/writing goals this year?

message 16: by Antara (new)

Antara Mann | 4 comments Congratulations about your book being translated! It's a huge step forward. Did you use E.Kostova Foundation or a freelancer?
One more question though - did you like Fight Club (the book)?

Blacke Tales (BlackeTales) | 3 comments I think it was Whit Burnett who said that writing short stories requires more craft and discipline than writing full-length novels. Do you agree? And why?
