first impression: I'm really excited to read this! The summary seems really interesting (creepy and sci-fi-y at the same time) and I've been a fan of Neil Gaiman's books before. So I have high hopes!

i own this book, and read it when i was younger, but then i skipped pages and chapters when i was bored so i can’t remember anything haha

ok so i’m currently finished another book before i get round to it. and the reading rush is next week so i might not get to read it before the end of the month but i’ll try! ;)

what that’s so confusing ahah. maybe reset the app or log in and out or maybe text customer service or something ;)
Hey guys! So i never managed to find a copy for this month but I would love to hear what you guys thought of the book! Spoilers are ok! (just put a warning at the beginning of ur post ;) ) Hope you all enjoyed it!

First off, what do the Jack of All Trades group even do? They intended to murder Bod because of the prophecy but I didn’t understand why the prophecy was so threatening to their organization to begin with. Second was the murder of Bod’s family. Was killing the entire family really necessary to begin with — didn’t Jack only need to kill the boy? How did they come to suspect Bod Might fulfill the legacy? If Bod was so threatening to the group, why did they stop trying to find him for 16 years? I also had a lot of questions about the Honour Guard. Where are the ‘borders’ anyways? What are the Honour Guards protecting the world from? Where is the ‘Old Country’ that Silas comes from? Arghhh so many questions :(
I understand a big part of the book is the mystery and uncertainty but I really wished the resolution gave a more concrete explanation to the world in this story. I’m not a huge fan of paranormal fiction to begin with so I think the “unexplained phenomenons” really bugged me. The ending was really sweet and beautiful, though. I started tearing up afterwards! It really felt like the end of Bod’s “arc” and was a very satisfying conclusion. (Sorry this is so long, I had a lot of thought LOL)

Happy reading everyone :)
