Hi Lisa,
It's so good to see that you're making a come back :D I'm a Malaysian too, obviously, living in a small town near Klang, Selangor. I don't have any specific genre preferences and as for this year, I'm determine to diversify my reading as much as I could.
I mostly read ebooks on my Kindle. If not ebook, I prefer mass market paperbacks compare to anything else. Really hope to make more bookish friends from this site and this group in particular.
Happy reading everyone!

Hi Lisa! Glad you're back. Thanks for sectioning the forum. It looks good already :)
I'm from KL too. I read mostly romance especially dark erotic ones. And I love villains haha!

Hello Lisa,I joined the group because it feels more like home when it comes to certain discussion. I'm from Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. I don't have a specific favorite genres as long as the book is good.
I'm reading both paperback books and Kindle. I like to juggle both ways of reading. I do admit I have a weird habit of reading books but it all boils down to whether I'm missing the smell of books. Told you I'm weird. Lol.
Recently, I've discovered high/epic fantasy books fascinating! It just made my brain so fried up! (In a good way of course). Hope to see this place as lively as possible.
Hi Lisa and everyone.I just joined the group. I've been on GR for a while but only started using it more last year to keep track of my reads. My reading group on Facebook decided to use GR to keep track of our Pop Sugar Reading Challenge 2015, so I poked around to see what other groups are around.
I'm from Kuching. I'm a dead tree reader through and through, unless I get sucked in by something on Wattpad. I used to read a lot of YA until a lot of the books started looking the same. Now I'm reading more Malaysian books, poetry and non-fiction. I hope to cover a lot more ground with the reading challenge.
Hi everyone!I am a Malaysian too, obviously. Actually from Johor but currently living in shah alam.
I am kinda new to goodreads tho I have been reading since I was a kid. I'd say I grew up reading Harry Potter and not to mention some Nancy Drews and Hardy boys. Hehe. I'd always prefer the physical books, i dont know, there is always something more from holding and turning those pages. But i am starting to read ebooks as well mostly classics. ;)
Well, looking forward to making new friends here! Happy reading everyone!
Another Sarawakian here (from Miri), but living in KL.Although I enjoy indulging in epic fantasies, I do try spacing other genres in-between fantasy binges. I like to keep my reading habits as diverse as possible.
I am in love with my Kindle Paperwhite - a beautiful device that let's me read before bed without people harassing me to 'turn off the lights!'. And yet, my inner book collector also demands that I buy a hard-copy of every book I read on the Kindle.
Hello I'm Arfa! 16 & lives in subang jaya, selangor. i can't read books online cause i can't stare on screens for a long time so i usually buy printed books :)) plus i loove to look at my book collection though i don't really have that much book YET :)
Hi guys..great to get to know we can bonded over books here. I absolutely loves the smell of books as well but it has gotten really expensive to buy one especially English one. So i resorted to ebook and my reading diversify as well. Gosh i've read like tons of books and i got database of thousands that haven't been read as well. If you guys interested in getting ebooks just let me know ya. I got a group on facebook ( sadly a lot of my members are outsiders) where you can download and request for ebooks. XOXO
Hi all, I've been on GR for quite a while now, and joined this group much earlier but never posted. I'm also from Klang Valley area. I'm also in the other Malaysian group (Goodreads Malaysia) but that's a more BM-oriented group.
Hey all! I'm Izzat from KL! But currently, I'm in the UK doing my degree. I love fantasy novels, but haven't really had much time to read since I started university. Such a pain. But hopefully this year, I could manage my time better to put aside some hours for my sweet, unread books by my bedside.
Heyy I'm Anne from Shah Alam. I've been in Goodreads for a while now. I use GR for all my books reference. I used to love reading YA but not so much now. I'm trying to expand my reading horizons but at the same time I still have to finish all my YA book. So, this and that lol. Nice to meet y'all and lets talk books!! ^^
First and foremost, thank you everyone for your support. I'm delighted to make your acquaintance. As readers, I'm sure that we have a lot to talk, share and fangirl about here. So, enjoy you stay!

Yep it sure feels like a long time ......a bookish journey
Hi I'm Rou Min from KL but currently studying in Australia. I've been on goodreads for a while and I also book blog. I love Young Adult especially contemporary and sci fi. I am not a big kindle fan but its handy to have an e-reader on hand. I prefer reading the physical copies.
Hello! I'm Shahirah from Seremban. Currently studying in Perak. Just found this group and looking forward to interacting here with you folks :D Favourite genres include Historical Fiction and General Fiction. Prefer hardbacks as ebooks make my eyes hurt haha. Nice to meet all of you!
Hello everybody.. Gong Xi Fa Cai for everybody. I'm Kimi from Kuala Lumpur.
Started reading since I was 8 years old (which lead to poor eyesight by reading in the dark).
I am a fan almost every genre EXCEPT motivational book. Just couldn't grasp it at the moment. I have my own mini library thanks to BBW and bookxcess. Always prefer paper book rather than ebook but lately it is easier to read while constant travelling around.
Conclusion is I am an avid reader and hope to be able to meet someone who obsess with reading as I am. :)
Hello and Gong Xi Fa Cai Kimi!
Welcome to Malaysian Reads. Take a look around and don't be a stranger :D

Hello everybody!! I'm Neenee from Kajang. I love so many genres, it's unfair to say which one is my most favourite.I've been in this group for quite awhile, then left, and here I am again. Hi, Lisa! I was waiting for you to resurface for such a long time (since the first day I joined this group). It's good to know you also have appointed new moderators: Shy & warhawke. It's going to be a blast!!
Hello everyone,My name is Ash (short for Aisyah, since it is a painfully common name during my school year). I've been in Goodreads since 2008 (time flies so fast!) but only just started using it actively last year. Yes, I am one of those kids who made accounts somewhere and totally forgot about it. ;)
I started out as an avid fan of Fantasy books, thanks to Enid Blyton's Magic Flying Chair and a high dose of fairy tales. Nowadays I am more into the Dystopia and YA.
This year, my plan is to branch out into other genres of fictions and also some non-fictions as well.
Nice to meet everyone. :)
Hye everyone,I'm a new Goodreads member and obviously just joined this group. I've been an avid reader since young (hence, the reason I wear spectacles). I'm from KL, but live in Shah Alam.
Nice to meet everyone, hope you can recommend me good titles! ^_^
Welcome, everyone :D

Happy March everyone! And to all the chinese, Happy almost Chap Goh Mei :) I'm Jocelyn, from Kuching, Sarawak. I am into YA fiction, any genre really, as long as it's well-written! Always yearning to purchase physical copies of books and build my own kingdom but buying books in Malaysia is kind of expensive due to our exchange rates don't you think? :(
Hello Joycelyn. Happy to meet you! It's true about the price in Malaysia. Kinda sad about it. T_T. Must really hard if the book is a loooong series...
HowlerJo wrote: "Happy March everyone! And to all the chinese, Happy almost Chap Goh Mei :) I'm Jocelyn, from Kuching, Sarawak. I am into YA fiction, any genre really, as long as it's well-written!
