Joseph Lerner (zisi) Too bad there's only one specifically nonfiction category in the Challenge. So I'm not sure if I can continue the Challenge, since I read so much nonfiction. Anyway, I've always found linguist Steven Pinker's insights and knowledge first rate, even when I disagree with him, and am especially looking forward to reading his new book on language and literary style.

I agree this challenge is heavy on the fiction side. I think you could probably fit non-fiction titles into quite a few of the categories though. Memoirs, books translated from another language, books over 100 years old, books that take place in other countries, etc.

I don't think this challenge has to have any hard and fast rules when it comes to selecting the books in each category - it just needs to work for you.

I tend to read a fair bit of nonfiction too. So much good stuff out there!
