I came up with another idea for a giveaway. I would like to offer up a minor character in my sequel to The Wastelanders. The character would be named after the winner, or an altered name of their choice, and they could also give me a brief characterization that would work into the novel. I did this in one of my culinerary mysteries for a woman, who won the character slot at a convention. She wanted to use a variation of her real name, then asked to be portrayed as thin, rich and gorgeous. I then wrote her as Rhoda Stern, thin, rich and beautiful patroness of the catering company, that Neil Marshall, the main character worked for. She made several memorable and fun appearances.
Do you think this is an idea that would work here? I could post it, then elaborate on it in a blog posting, then link it to this site.??? Any thoughts?
Thanks, Tim Hemlin

I'll be giving away 3 copies of the first book in my epic fantasy series, The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price. Not sure yet if I'm doing e-books or paperback. Might let the winner pick which they prefer.

I'll probably do it through Rafflecopter on my blog. I need to figure out how to link up and everything. I'm way behind due to stomach bugs that have taken a tour through my home one person at a time, ending at me.

I'd like to giveaway an interview slot for April on my blog - it doesn't have to be a writer, I would love to interview a reader! (But how shall I do it folks?) The interview would be shared on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+ and Goodreads... I usually do one author interview per month with links to blogs and books etc, but for a reader I'd probably put up a pic of them with their stash or their pet rabbit etc. NO confidential or personal details obviously.

Can you advertize to your blog subscribers "Do X to enter for a chance to be interviewed" Or...you can raffle the slot to a reader during the convention and hold the interview in May. Just some thoughts :)

Good idea, plus Jenny said she thinks it would still be a good idea to offer freebie books - so I can do some paperbacks for UK or ebooks for 'everywhere', either on Amazon or Smashwords...

This is all very new to me. Will I have to authorize the free copies to Amazon or will it happen automatically? TY. Libby Fox
