The Humour Club discussion

Hello,

I would like to ask people on Goodreads what your experience is with finding readers (or beta readers as some would call them) to read one of your books before they are published?

Where and how can you find such readers outside of your social circle?

I am still on my first few books so don't have the following of an established author.

Any advice or hints?

Check out the Humour Club discussion section on Writing (this probably belongs there).
Try looking up book blogger lists online. Depending on what you write, some will be receptive to reviewing and posting about your book. You should also submit to places like Readers' Favorite and Foreword Reviews. Also, check out a site called Story Origin. It's free for now, and offers things that can help indie authors.
