My little brother will only read Diary of a Wimpy Kid, so my books are never damaged by him. BUT. I can't get one peaceful second of reading done around him

I can’t get a second of reading done by my little brother either! Most of my reading is done between 12 and 3 am! I also expect to much bookishness out of them sometimes and they don’t have an ounce of it in them. Whenever I make a bookish reference they act clueless! At least my mom reads a lot of the books I do so she understands the references
Not really a sibling complaint, but I was just on vacation, and one of my cousins that is around the same age started reading my copy of The Selection, which isn’t a big deal I let people borrow my books all the time, but she wouldn’t use a bookmark and would leave it face down all the time! Not too big a deal, but drove me crazyyy!!!!
You probably wouldn't like me then lol. I never have a bookmark on hand, and I don't want to dog-ear it so yeah
When ur sibling comes into ur room when ur not there, takes ALL the books off their shelves, flicks thru them puts them down in a damaging way, then leaves.🙄
I guess, but when I'm trying to read, he comes in "can I have a book". I give him one. He leaves. Five seconds later, he is back again. "Can I have a different book?" and it goes on and on and on.
If my brother asked for a book (which, btw, is completely impossible), I probably wouldn’t give it to him because he has a long record of tearing up my stuff
I’m not even sure how he does some of this stuff. One time I let him us my Perplexes and didn’t give it back for a while. One day I asked if I could have it back, and he said he was still using it. So I let him have it until one day I found it hidden away in some drawer with a dent in it. How do you even dent a Perplexes?
sometimes my brother will come into my room (while I'm reading, AGAIN) and point to some of the YA books and be like "can I read that"? (usually, he only reads Diary of a wimpy kid). Like NO TOMASZ you can NOT read Six of Crows, or the Hunger Games. And NOT the maze runner either." Then he moans, disappears for a moment, and comes with mum or dad, "mum says you have to give me the book" UUUGGGGHHHH.
Oml that is me. Except instead of books he always wants my laptop for some reason. He’ll see me doing something on it and he’ll say “Lilly your computer works so much better than mine. I need to do something on it.” “Right now I’m working on something.” And then he brings mom and says “MOM SAYS YOU HAVE TO LET ME PLAY ON IT SO GIVE IT TO ME!” Idk why, but he does
Ok I’m a little late to answering this convo (I live on the way West Coast of the US) so I was sleeping. Me and my sister had our own rooms, but decided to share both of that makes sense? (Beds and stuff in one room, tv and books in the other) and now my perfectly organized books, are mixed in with her books. Which is fine, but now if I want to reorginize books it’s 400 not 294
I swear my brother only reads wimpy kids .I try to force him to read other stuff and he just refuses.Sometimes he asks for a book, I give it to him and then 5 minutes later he comes back and says this books boring, every single time! Recently he says that he's allergic to paper just to avoid it.
I've got 4 siblings, but only my younger sister reads (although I have convinced one of my brothers to start reading Harry Potter :D), and she just never gives me back my books! I'll let her borrow them but she just keeps them on her bookshelf instead of returning them after because she wants her bookshelf to "look more full" >:( Like nooo gimme
Oh sorry about that. I hate when my brother touches my things when I'm gone and then ruins them. That sucks.
Me too. My sisters a little older but she’s just as annoying as a younger sibling. She’ll come in my room. Mess with my stuff then leave bc she knows it gets on nerves
I let my brother borrow my Black Widow: Red Vengeance. (Bear in mind he is 3 years older than me) And I’m looking for it cause it’s been months since I have it to him. And my mom has to go diving in his room to find it. And when she does it’s only the hard cover with no dust jacket. And on the hard cover was a bunch of sticky smears and stains that can’t come of😫 Then we found the dust jacket and it was ripped in a corner. NEVER let your sub lungs borrow your books
sometimes i’m reading and my sister would come in and be like “i’m boreddd” and i would tell her to read and she’d be like “i’m bored of reading” XD
Oml I still do that sometimes and then I like to see it play out 😂 nah I like spoilers as long as it’s nothing too big
I get a lot of book recs from my sister (we have really similar tastes in books), but if my brother ever were to recommend something to me, that'd be a reason not to read it.
My older brothers used to read a lot more than they do now, so I think I’ve stolen almost every good book from their shelves. I’m pretty sure they know but don’t care lol.
Yeah yeah yeah I realize that now. What happened is I actually found Cress and Scarlet at my used bookstore and they were the old ones, and I just picked up Cinder from the same store and it was the new one which I’m super mad about. I had no idea that I had bought the old ones but I do like them better. I bet I’m going to try to find the first Cinder on eBay or something because it just doesn’t look very good 😡
