There's a book under each title, in not sure which one you guys were planning to do. I'm fine with either, but I had originally read it as Illuminae too

My reading speed is pretty fast, so I can do whatever you guys decide. I have an eBook copy, so I can't really tell how long chapters are either

Im still at like 15%. (my kindle doesn't support pages for this book for some odd reason) I like it so far, especially Esra. Kady is just ok, but I'm expecting to like her better as I read on. it's kind of wierd to read a book told only through documents, and I'm not too sure how I like it so far. Yah, it's definitely not my favorite way to tell a story, but it does add a lot of tension. Is two hundred pages pretty close to 33%? That's what I was planning to read to

(view spoiler)[ I'm liking this so far. The quarantine stuff is interesting, but kinda scary. Could you imagine walking in, and seeing bodies arranged like that? No thank you. Poor Jimmy... I can't believe they just abandoned him. You would think they could test him or something. Im still liking Esra and Kady, and I'm happy they're "together" again (hide spoiler)]

I am 10% into this book.
The audiobook of this book is amazing but I didn't get it so I'm reading it physically too.
I'm liking it alright right now but let's see if it gets better!

Ok, so I just got up to 68%, a little more than 2/3
(view spoiler)[ This is getting wild. I'm kinda sad that Zhang is dead, I actually liked him. and the way he had to go was so sad, I wish she would've just shot him and ended it.

This might be completely crazy, but I feel like AIDAN is going to attempt to steal her away and keep her. It seems way to interested in her, and it doesn't seem like much of a stretch considering its insanity /spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

Ok, I'm at 89%, and all I want to say is (view spoiler)[ I like this ship way too much. Watching it get more and more damaged is actually making me sad. And Esra better actually be alive. And Kady better survive through some miracle (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I loved this book. I loved AIDAN. Honestly, the crazy AI was my favorite character, and I'm not embarrassed to say that. His transformation was so touching, and I ended up crying at his eventual death. I am happy that Esra and Kady both lived. Esra's mom is a psychopath, I mean, she intentionally attempted to kill her husband and son multiple times. (hide spoiler)]

I think it was more like a super strong friendship. they were dying together, and then bonded that way, and then she was teaching him how to be, in essence, human. okay I'm 58% into this book and what Aidan just did makes no sense. I hope it's actions are explained later in this book and I'm so worried about Ezra. I also want Byron to live but don't know what's gonna happen. there's just so much death in this book that I was totally not expecting. and right now my thoughts are all over the place and I can't even write cohesively.

And ohhhh the audiobook! Did any of you listen to this book?
It's makes reading this book a whole different experience. You guys should check out the audiobooks for the next two books when you read it.

Yah, this book was definitely full of death. It was so tense all the way through, gathering your thoughts was definitely difficult

I finished this book!!!!! And omg this was mind blowing!
AIDAN! God I want more of AIDAN in the next books! Such a fascinating character to read about!

okay I can talk on and on about AIDAN so I'll stop. The rest of the book was awesome. the emotional rollercoaster was unexpected but totally welcome!

I can't wait to read the next book!
Even though it's about a different couple.
But Kady and Ezra comes back in the third book again as far as I know!
I'm just along for this intergalactic ride as long as AIDAN is there! :p

Lisa, I can go on and on about AIDAN too. He totally was my favorite character. I was quite surprised when I found myself getting emotional over a psychotic AI's death

Exactly!!! But AIDAN didn't die and I'm happy for that. He was a very unique character and I'm excited to see more of him in the next books!
