Being the daughter of two Indonesian immigrants, I've faced racism from a good number of places here in America. Even if it's just some offhand comment when someone first meets me, like "Where are you from?" to idiotic comments from classmates about my eye shape or skin color, it's been something that I've been aware of, especially in recent years as my awareness has really started rising.

I am a brown girl but I have never faced racism cause I have never travelled out of Asia. But I really don't care what people would think bout me cause I know that I am unique!
Go you! That's awesome. :) :) Racism is terrible and we should be able to get rid of it. I don't understand why it exists in the first place, we should be accepting and kind to each other, and should celebrate our differences.

But I think you should ignore them, and not care at all.
@aspiring author I have had very similar experiences. My family is from Iran, and with the current excuse for a president, America doesn't have a good relationship with Iran. One time at school, this boy came up to me and told me to go back where i came from.

ugh, that's disgusting. I don't think any of these privileged white people understand that the people in Iran (and the Middle East in general) are suffering under all of this, probably more than any of us in America.

Yes. They don't know the half of it. I could go on and on about how unfair America is being to other countries right now.
SAME. They hate on China for the communist government and how strict is is and they hate on North Korea for their isolation and politics and whatever else, but they don't understand that people are suffering there too. A hell of a lot more than we are by reading the biased media.
