Unless changed by an author, the default edition is the most shelved edition. Fieldwork in Ukrainian Sex is the default edition.

The Museum of Abandoned Secrets is the default edition.

However, that's 100% not what I'm seeing in practice. Case in point: a weird bug for a Ukrainian langauge profile for Oksana Zabuzhko: Оксана Забужко (who is NOT a Goodreads author). On Zabuzhko's Ukrainian profile I see that:
1) The top/default edition for her most popular novel "Fieldwork in Ukrainian Sex" is displayed as the Bulgarian translation of this work (which has ZERO reviews https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...) instead of either the edition with the most number of ratings, which is the English translation of this novel ,https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9..., or the edition with the 2nd highest number of ratings, which is the original Ukrainian edition of this novel , https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2..., (number of ratings is displayed if you look at number of ratings for all editions: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...)
2) The exact same bug happens for her 2nd most popular novel "The Museum of Abandoned Secrets", for which the Russian edition is dsiplayed as the default edition, even though it has ZERO reviews (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...). Once again here, the English edition has the highest # of reviews, while original Ukrainian edition has the 2nd highest number of reviews (see all details view for all editions: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio... ).
What's going on here? How do I fix that? Is it caused by edit wars over previous couple of years that involved mergin and unmerging of Zabuchko's Ukrainian and English profiles?
