Whit So, The Opportunist has ruined me. I read this book two years ago and LOVED it (after reading the two that follow, of course). I can't seem to find a book as good though. I keep trying out the New Adult romances, but a lot of times the writing isn't nearly as good or I don't fall in love with the characters like I did with Caleb and Olivia. I think I liked that they started out in college and it followed into their adult years. I'm not a big fan of the books with flagrant cheating (view spoiler). Any suggestions??

Pam Have you read K.A. Linde "Avoiding" series? I loved it. There is a BOX set on Amazon. I would highly recommend.

Jennifer The Addicted series! So good! Flawed characters, great romance, but no cheating. I'm with you I can not stand cheating.

A friend of mine did recommend the avoiding series, but when I said I didn't like a lot of cheating she said "Uh, maybe don't read the avoiding series." Haha.

I'm going to check this one out, as well as Unsticky. Thanks!!

Has anyone read the More Than series? I just stumbled across it and the first book looks pretty good.

Michelle °O° The Needing More Series The Needing Moore Series Trilogy: Searching for Moore, Moore to Lose, & Moore than Forever was just as great in that it spans a few decades.

Spans a few decades? I love the sound of that!

Pam Yeah, there is some but it does follow relationship through college and after ... so you may have to pick a side :)

Melissa Connelly Read the Accidentally on Purpose series by L.D Davis or anything by her for that matter. You'll be just as obsessed!

Vicki The Needing Moore series also has Bad Boy Rising now =)

You might try this: Remembering Us by Stacey Lynn by Stacey Lynn. I won it in a GR's Giveaway and just finished my ARC over the weekend. It was really good and had that same "vibe" as The Opportunist, even though it's an amnesia romance. I like angsty romance with a bit of mystery and this one delivered. I haven't read any of Ms. Lynn's other books, but I would suspect the style is similar. It's a Kindle Unlimited freebie, too.

Whit, I so agree with you, especially regarding the writing part. Tarryn's writing is leagues above any other book. She's not telling a new story necessarily but she writes in a way that it feels fresh with so many clever throw-away one liners that other authors can't even boast one line of in their books - every other book people recommend like Thoughtless and Collide and all the other awful books are SO badly written, I'm baffled.

There must be another NA writer who can actually write as well as she can?!

Jennifer Addicted to You (Addicted, #1) by Krista Ritchie

Do try the Addicted series! And just wanted to let everyone know the first book in the series is free! So nothing to lose in giving it a try!

Amanda Good gosh. There is no other book that hit me so hard as this one. It was everything I needed to read in a romance book. Simply perfect. Well, besides Syilva Days books of course. LOVE THIS BOOK!!!

Are Sylvia day's books similar to opportunist writing or plot wise? Which one do you suggest?

Annabelle I know what you mean; it's hard to find a great writing style and a great story in one book. I read a lot and most of the time i regret wasting my time. These are a few of the books that have both. I enjoyed every minute of reading and plan on reading them again.

The Education of Sebastian & The Education of Caroline (The Education of..., #1-2) by Jane Harvey-Berrick

Sempre (Forever, #1) by J.M. Darhower
Sempre Redemption (Forever, #2) by J.M. Darhower

Nine Minutes (Nine Minutes, #1) by Beth Flynn

The Light in the Wound (The Light in the Wound, #1) by Christine Brae

The Sweet Gum Tree by Katherine Allred

Stefani I consider Waiting on the Sidelines - Ginger ScottWaiting on the Sidelines perfect to read after The opportunist!

Morgan Dungan Black Lies
Tight

They are in my opinion good reads if you liked Tarryn Fisher The Opportunist!

Berry ♡ Nice Whit. I'm with you that series ruined me and I sufered from the biggest book hangover ever (I re-read the series immediately after finishing, please don't judge me)
I read the Needing Moore series last mth and loved it. They start off in college and the story continues well into adult life.

Heidi All of Tarryn's books are amazing!

Chloe Smith I know right but how do you read it online

message 27: by Kate (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kate Love letter to whiskey :)

Jenlei the Truth in Lies series by Katherine Owen I thought was really good, and had similar aspects to Olivia and Caleb's story. It has been a few years since I've read it but I still remember it, and I read quite a bit so that says something to me. Also goes across a time span.
