Your task this month is to read at least 1 book that WON a book award in August. Any year ... as long as the award was presented in August. What will you read?

To get you started ... The Hugo Awards for excellence in the field of science fiction and fantasy are typically presented in August.

* Comment below with the book you're reading for the challenge, the name of the award it won and the date it was presented. Mark it CHALLENGE COMPLETE if you've read the book.

I read This Is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar - which won 2020 Hugo Award - Best Novella. Unfortunately, I didn't love this one :-(

No? I really enjoyed the language and playfulness of the story. Hope you find something you'll enjoy next month. :)

@cat @tj I agree that This Is How You Lose the Time War had a playfulness to it and I think that's what kept me reading even after I got a little bored. I admit I did skim through some sections.

Simone (simonec75) I read this one. I love the series. This one won a Hugo Award in 2015:

Saga, Vol. 3 by Brian K. Vaughan

I'll have to try this series for next year's challenge.
