Great book, the movie comes out in March. Nathaniel Philbrick is one of my favorite authors. A fairly quick read this book is about the sinking of the whaleship Essex by a huge sperm whale. The crew then had to survive in three small boats until they could be rescued or make it to land. The novel Moby Dick was based on this tragedy.

Hi Carrie! Do you want this book to go into the book to movie category? Thanks!

I used this for my non fiction book but I'm really looking forward to the movie. I never thought I'd be so captivated by a book about ships, whales, and eating your shipmates. Great book.

What? There's cannibalism? I better put this on my "to read" list. :-)
