Kristie | 5942 comments Our winning theme for September is another genre, Historical Fiction. Please make sure the genre is listed on the book's main page. Please nominate a book that you would like to read and discuss with the group that fits the theme here.

* Our rules for general nominations also apply to this thread.
* You can nominate one book in each thread: general nominations and themed nomination

Mystic (mystify) There is this book which got recommended to me on the Goodreads app for Kindle 3 years ago & I have been fascinated by it since then because of its title mostly & also the protagonist, blurb. I haven't read it yet & not told anyone about it either, I consider it to be a sort of hidden gem but I think now's the perfect time.

Jen from Quebec :0) (muppetbaby99) | 10 comments I'd like to nominate an historical fiction book based on some truly creepy events (although the book is not horror). I'd like to nominate The Witch of Napoli The Witch of Napoli by Michael Schmicker by Michael Schmicker.
FROM THE SYNOPSIS =
"...Inspired by the true-life story of controversial Italian medium Eusapia Palladino (1854-1918), The Witch of Napoli masterfully resurrects the bitter, 19th-century battle between Science and religion over the possibility of an afterlife."

We just read Little Women in April, so it isn't eligible to be nominated again right now. The Book Thief has already been nominated.
