Do you think Gadfly is a hero or a villain? Support your answer with evidence from the book.

I really don't think Gadfly can be considered a hero or a villain. He works toward his own interests. Always. He manipulated events for literally decades to get what he wanted, which was the Alder King out of power and Rook into power. By the end of the book, I'm positive he was already scheming about how to get Rook out of power so he could move even closer to becoming the king.
