Elizabeth Meadows (lizziefaye) | 424 comments Hi everyone, welcome to the Summer Fling 2020. Since I'm one of the cohosts and there isn't a designated central location for the readathon, I thought I would go ahead and create a discussion thread here for anyone who is participating in the readathon to chat about what we are reading. Feel free to post your TBR, give recommendations, ask for recommendations, chat about books that you are reading, etc.
I am also hosting a readalong of Ransom Canyon by Jodi Thomas and have created separate threads to discuss the book.
Have a fun Summer Fling everyone and Happy reading!!

Lisa | 6 comments I haven’t posted a full TBR on my Instagram (pagesandpaws) so I will leave what I am planning here as well as a few thoughts.

Down home country: Blackberry Summer: Light the Stars / Dancing in the Moonlight by RaeAnne Thayne orDisaster at Roosevelt Ranch by Elise Faber

Big city life: Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn

Author of color: Bring on the Blessings by Beverly Jenkins

Hot and Spicy: A Lesson in Thorns by Sierra Simone

Dark and Dangerous:The Witch of Painted Sorrows By MJ Rose

Sweet and clean: All's Fair in Love and Cupcakes by Betsy St. Amant

Road trip: Driving Her Crazy by Amy Andrews

Friends to lovers:The Traveling Man by Jane Harvey-Berrick

Diversity: undecided. I’m stuck on this one because all the ones I wanted to read are unavailable to me in August (I read mostly from Overdrive on my IPad)

Disability rep:Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

Old School Historical: Lake in the Clouds by Sara Donati ( I didn’t know what “old school”meant then I found out and realized this was not old school. I really want to re read this, so I’m bending the prompt. It’s an older historical romance, the female lead runs the town school, and she was a virginal bride in book one)

Category romance: Starting Over at Lane's End by Shelley Galloway (I’m currently reading this. It’s a Harlequin Heartwarming and I’m enjoying it. Turns out it is set in small towns both near my hometown and my current home even though I think Lane’s End is fictional).

Elizabeth Meadows (lizziefaye) | 424 comments Hi Lisa! I didn't realize that you were pagesandpaws. Awesome! I think Old School can mean whatever you want it to mean. Same goes for all the prompts, regardless of the original idea. I'm reading Grace Livingston Hill for that prompt which is way different from the original idea as well.
