Hi all!
I am a introvert minimalist with a love for vegetable gardening, reading and discovering nature by hiking. On the other side I am also a science and technology girl, board member of the greatest hackerspace of the Netherlands and event organizer.
I love bringing people together and giving them a structure to meet while also giving them the space to be themselves. That's how I got into the Iggle Bookworms!
Of course I have way to many hobbies. Besides reading I am currently rediscovering crafting postcards, snail mailing and journaling. All thanks to IGGPPC I must add. I basically love all things paper!
Just like my personal interest my reading habits are widespread. I read a lot of horror, murder mysteries and (historical) fiction, but also love classics, recently got into fantasy and of course read a lot of biography stuff about how things work or how things happened since I like to understand things.
I'd love to read with all of you and hope we will be having a fun time together!

Hello! I'm Rhiannon from the UK, and I love all things crafty and penpal-y. I used to love reading, but am actually reading much less these days, so I'm hoping to get back into it by engaging with the Iggle Bookworms group! I mainly like books with a fantasy or historical setting.
Hello everyone! I am Caitlan from the USA. I love all things arts and crafts. I am particularly witchy as well. I love writing letters and journaling. My hobbies are all over the place. I am obsessed with foxes haha!
Hello! I'm Haley or @my-pants in the discord. I live mystery, YA and period novels. I live in California and have a lovely dog named Banana. I love crafting, coffee, and video games.
Kate wrote: "Hello everyone! As we are getting this started up again let's all introduce ourselves - tell us a bit about yourself, where you're from, your favourite genres and geeky loves."Hey, everyone! My name is Tessa (you may know me on the Discord server as tessaiga). I'm really excited for this to be starting up again! Thanks again to all involved in this project. <3
I'm from the U.S.A. (New Jersey). My favorite book genres are fiction, science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, and self-improvement (I like to lean more towards spiritual texts like "The Four Agreements," by Don Miguel Ruiz or more Wiccan or witchcraft related things). I also really enjoy YA books! I have an abundance of those that I haven't read yet. In addition to those I also read comics, graphic novels, and manga. I'm also hoping to soon get myself into Japanese light novels (these are sometimes novel adaptations of an anime or manga series, or side stories based on those types of series).
My geeky loves include anime/manga, science fiction, fantasy, comics, and books of course. <3

Yay! Another 75-girl! I recently did some research on this to figure out if it would be possible for me to hit this mark too. And... most books are about 300 pages average, if you read about one hour a day you can hit that 75. This does of course depend on your reading speed which you can test at this website, but yours sound similar to mine.

Hi my name is Katie from northern NYS in the Us. Hours from the city. I am a small town country girl. I enjoy books but do better with audiobooks as I am a slow reader. I like all kinds of books but lately motivational and self-help books, I like that uplifting vibe haha. I love fantasy, romance-Harry Potter, Nicholas sparks, books about history or historical fiction, or about disabilities or characters with disabilities I’m hoping this group will get me into reading more :). Thanks for having me :) !
Hello, Iggles!I'm so excited to be part of a book club with my favorite pen pals! I can be found on the IGGPPC Discord server as Case Closed.
Some of my hobbies are snail mail, crochet, journaling, gardening, and I recently have become interested in tabletop gaming.
Since the pandemic started, I've been reading A TON. My reading taste spans the board: fantasy, romance, poetry, comics and graphic novels, YA, sci fi, contemporary fiction, steampunk, mystery. I also enjoy nonfiction books about Buddhism, relationships, communication, history, and whatever catches my eye really.
Hi IggleWorms!
I'm Kate in the UK, I love crafting and board gaming and of course books. Too many favourites to name, but mostly light fantasy or sci fi, especially comedy. My to read pile is so big, I'm trying to get better at giving up on a book if it's not for me, but I'll read most genres.

Hey everyone! Jemma from the UK here! I do a lot of driving so I use audiobooks, but I do read the paper too!
Hey y'all! I'm just seeing this post now. I'm Shakira. I was raised in Florida,USA. I just moved to MA, USA. My favorite genres are whatever Jane Austen's works are considered(bahaha), middle grade(fantasy), mystery(I want to get more into this genre). Sometimes I'll get on board with some YA. I listen to a lot of contemporary romance on audio. I like listen to Alexandra Moody's and Kasie West's books. I prefer the physical book. I like to sniff those pages and admire the cover. But I mostly borrow books from the library.Geeky loves: Dance of Thieves Duology by Mary E. Pearson, Harry Potter, Gilmore Girls, The Office, Psych, The Princess Diaries(and yes I've read the books too!), the ROM COM, reading, pen pal writing. Oh and I'm REALLY excited about Midnight Sun. I am late to the game, but I ordered my copy!!! Music. I play the euphonium. I'm not at the skill level I was in high school, but I want to play more(hard to do in an apartment, but I found another space to play once a week). My favorite artists/albums right now are: BSB(forever), Cimorelli, HAIM(barely any skips on their first two albums), Taylor Swift(folklore isn't my favorite, but I rarely skipped on the last two albums before that), Bon Iver's Bon Iver(forever really) Basically, message me if you want my spotify account. I have A LOT of playlists. After camp, I realized that listening to music is great during crafting!
Hey everyone! Nice to see this group is back in business :)My name is Alkisti, I am from Greece and I'm currently living in a country I yearn to move away from (soon hopefully *finger cross*!).
Kickstarting a career change, I've been studying for a BA in English for the last 3 years so during this time I had to pick my readings based on my courses syllabuses. I'm so happy that I can finally go back to picking whatever I want :D
I read a lot of things: fantasy, YA, contemporary, classics, non-fiction, biographies, etc. but I have a soft spot for children's lit.
Other things I enjoy: nature, walking/hiking, baking, playing music, board and video games, Gilmore Girls, snail mail (even though I have zero penpals at the moment), the mountains and the sea!
Looking forward to getting to know you and discuss some readings together! Don't hesitate to add me if you want :)
Also, I'm @alkisti.z on IG
Cheers,
A*
@Alkisti do you play an instrument? "Yay!" to Gilmore Girls. I've been walking recently and I like it a lot. I have really pretty sunsets near me. Maybe hiking will be my next extracurricular. All your extracurriculars sound delightful.

I do play the piano and a little bit of bass. Sunsets (and sunrises) are great to see when walking/hiking. You're lucky to have pretty ones near you!
Hello book lovers, I am Christine from Canada. More comfortable introducing myself on Goodreads than Discord (raise your hand if books are easier to approach than people), but you can find me there as PetiteBoussole. I'm discrete but i'll say hi.
My favorite genres are classics (from Alexandre Dumas to Anne Rice), historical fiction, fantasy, graphic novels, and contemporary Quebec literature, but I won't say no to a good sci-fi, horror or YA. I re-read the same 2 Jane Austen, the LOTR and Harry Potter series every few years. I am also obsessed with the Aubrey-Maturin serie by Patrick O'Brian; my dream is to time-travel to the 1800's and become an adventurer/pirate with access to Wikipedia.
I also knit socks, play the ukulele and classical guitar, videogames, some D&D here and there, jogg, yoga, love camping, and I'm a board member for the Montreal Comic Art Festival (which I'm very proud of <3)
I am really excited about this iggpp book club and I am eager to see what everyone here is reading.
Take care!
Hi Heather, I don't know Neil Gaiman that much but I have a few of his books in my to-read list. Let's chat about him someday. :) Horray for this book club!
Heather wrote: "Hi again Christine. When you get around to reading one of Neil Gaiman's books, maybe we could read it at the same time and then chat."I'm a Gaiman fan here as well! I have Norse Mythology in my to-read list so if you end up picking that up I'd be interested in buddy-reading as well :)
Alkisti wrote: "Heather wrote: "Hi again Christine. When you get around to reading one of Neil Gaiman's books, maybe we could read it at the same time and then chat."I'd love a buddy-reading! My next read is Ocean at the end of the lane. There seem to be a lot of Gaiman's fans here, so we could start a separate discussion about him?
Good thinking Christine! You can open one in Book Discussions.
Loving all this energy going round! :-D

Hi everybody! I'm Hélène from France or Arenaw on discord and social media. It is nice to see this group reborn.
I read les than I used to and wish to also. Thanks to bf I currently read a lot of mangas and comics/european comics. I have a soft spot for anything fantasy and historicallish.
Hello! I'm Christina.. i think that's what i'm called in discord right now. I love reading but am trying to find more time for it. I've been getting more into comics and graphic novels as of late. I just finished Lumberjanes vol 1 and 2. and i've reading the Disney comics based on attractions.
@Alkisti Love piano and bass!!! Upright? or Bass guitar?@Christine Yay to your re-reads!!! I am still making my way through Jane Austen's works and LOTR, but I'm loving both thus far! and very cool to your classical guitar playing. Do you create your own comics?!!!!!! So cool!
@Heather Welcome Heather! my first time cross stitching was at camp- so rewarding.
I'm loving all the Canada folks. Has anyone read the Inspector Gamache Series? It makes me want to visit Canada so bad!
@Arenaw Welcome!!! I just moved and I've been trying to got obsessed with making my place look French. bahahaha. I think my tastes clash too much to pull it off though. bahaha.
@Christina Welcome Christina! I like that you're reading comics based on Disney attractions. That's a neat way to narrow down what you want to read. Cool niche too.
