I speak Indonesian at home since my parents are both immigrants from Indo. And I switch between languages a lot when I speak since some terms in one language are more convenient than in the other.

Here, at my place we switch between English and Hindi so much that we have started calling what we speak Hinglish.😂
Inglish for me I guess! Lol.
I tried to learn Chinese for four years but I never actually picked anything up...

There are phrases, references and cultural differences in the languages that create such differences.
Exactly. I just use whatever I think is more convenient...
I tried to learn Mandarin for years and never actually picked it up...
I tried for four years but....yeah no...
i know spansih, egyptian, latin, an ibglish o course....though apaently peeps from other countrys besides US can speak it better then me😂😒
I speak in English and Hindi and I tried to learn French two years ago but there was no one I could speak to in French so it fell behind.
Yeah I really want to learn a new language but I feel like I would just like slowly forget it because nobody else would speak it
Exactly my point there is an app called Duolingo, it's great but how long could you have a conversation with a computer??!!
Everybody talks about duolingo, but my family wants me to use Rossita Stone. Any opinions on that? Duoling or Rossita stone?
Umm, I used to do Rosetta Stone, and it's pretty good. I haven't done it in a while though. I would just try them both out and then decide which one was better for you. Because everyone has different experiences. Personally, I like Duolingo better since there are challenges and leagues, I feel more motivated to practice.

Sofia wrote: "I can obviously speak English lmao"Same it's my first (view spoiler) full language that I know. I am regretful to announce that both my parents are Asian but they never speak their languages (cuz my mom is Vietnamese and my dad's Indian) and they grew up speaking English and their languages, but they don't have accents or anything so they only talk in those languages to their parents. So I don't know either XD (which is kind of sad) I know some Spanish that I'm learning in school and bits and pieces of French but literally nothing else.
I speak Turkish, German, Russian,Ukrainian(which is kinda like Russian), Arabic, and English (obviously)So I would be glad if anyone wants to practice speaking anyone of those languages with me
Nicole wrote: "I speak Polish, German, English (it's not as good as my German and Polish) and I'm learning French in school (it's awful and I'm not very good at it haha)@Eleanor I can help you with German if you..."
Oh no, I'm fine with German, It's my third language after Turkish.
I meant if anyone needed help with any of those languages like practicing speaking to people I would be glad to help.
But thanks for the offer!
I speak English but I really want to learn Spanish and Korean.
i actually started in kindergarten, but i didn't learn much then obviously. so i started actually learning it in 1st grade, when i was seven. and i could understand and speak it well enough by the time i was in 4th or 5th grade.
Hello everyone, I’m Bhavya. English isn’t my native language but I’m fluent in it. I also speak Hindi, Telugu and Marathi. :)
English is my third language, but my school insists that it's my first language. Also it's the only language I speak without mixing other languages in it. I always speak Hindi or Punjabi with many English words. But I have been learning English since kintergarten so it (almost) feels like a native language.
I have this accent which can neither be called Indian nor any other for that matter. My accent is just a mix of a bunch of accents.

Ooh. I've never heard much about Sindhi.
@Nimrat I know... It's not the most recognized language... After all our country has more than 800 languages and 22 out of then are official.

Yeah. So you speak 4 languages?
I speak English but I want to learn German. In high school I was learning Spanish but it was really hard for me for some reason so only a little bit stuck. I can say a few words but not much.
hiiii! I'm from kashmir, i grew up speaking urdu. I completely SUCK at both kashmiri and urdu tho... I move around a lot and have 2 sisters and we just speak in english all the time.. i feel like it's our first language at this point! I really wanna learn kashmiri tho as it is a declining language and very few ppl know about it but aaghhhh it is SO HARDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!
Even though English is not my first language, I find it the easiest. Whenever someone says, 'English has got too many rules and the grammar is so confusing!' my reaction is:*eyebrows raised* Do I hear what I think I hear?
It seriously is that funny.
I speak fluent English, but sometimes I have a hard time trying to understand and read it, lmao. I guess it's bc there are many words that are not familiar to me and I have to go and translate them, lol. I learned English bc I used to watch tv series with Spanish subtitles and they were very helpful. I'm trying to read books in English and search the words that I don't understand

People can practice languages they are learning in these discussions and people who already know it well can help them. You can ask the moderators to create discussion for a language you want to see in the group.
I am creating a discussion for English and Hindi first, cause they are my primary languages and I can help a bit if you wanna learn or practice.
